I told y'all Beyonce was gonna keep being Beyonce. Have yall "stans" not learned a thing about this woman all this time? She is truly unbothered. See yall on Christmas Day!

Lmao yeah I don't know why folks thought she was about to cancel anything. Business as usual.

I'm also not defending Jay or anything btw. But she's a world class professional at these kind of things.

Wait I didn't know Anika also had a role in the film. :jonny6: I need pics and her and Bey for the Dreamgirl fans.

I hope Bey keeps that same hair for the halftime on Netflix. She looked so good tonight.

I have no doubt she will survive anything, it's just this story is beyond anything we could predict. Although this story doesnt seem to have much traction, which is so odd to me. I feel like the tiktok rumors had more focus, I think that healthcare ceo story kinda sucked the air out of the room thankfully

The rumors oddly worked in their favor. Now that the accusation came, it will force people to truly wonder if they truly believe Jay Z is a rapist or not. The answer to that question for many i think will be surprising when it comes down to it. I trust Beyoncé and Jay Z.  Dont care if you disagree and i wont debate this. Wait for the case to play out.

Jay likely was part of drug related things, but I never got predatory vibes from him tbh. Very different from P Diddy who always gave me dodgy vibes.

If he is proven guilty, yes she will have explaining to do, be it through actions (divorce) and/or words that make it clear that her heart goes out to the victim and that she doesn't tolerate such actions. I never said it's her fault, but this is a woman who had no issues airing out Jay Z's acts of infidelity on an album that was simultaneously used to promote that same cheaters business endeavor with Tidal. That alone was a CHOICE, but it gets to a point where her judge of character can seem outright abysmal and she will need to CHECK that if this gets any uglier.

I just want Beyoncé to be able to heal from all of this and still manage to put on a stupendous halftime show in the process, whatever the outcome is.

I get it but that is not explaining that is responding. A man is accused of a horrible deed that predates his union with a woman and then a comment says : "if it's true, she has some explaining to do" rubs me off all type of way. She doesn't have any explaining to do, if it's true(I sure hope not), she will ajust to her own family life crumbling, comfort her kids and find the strength to move forward, not explaining her innocence away to appease people.

I am all for fans having concerns, that is legitimate and understandable. We are not Jay's fans and we are certainly not going to die on his hill but I am perplexed at how easy it was for some to question Beyoncé's character and to make this all about her, her judge of character or her intelligence (some call her bird etc).

It just seems to me that no grace is ever shown to Bey whatsoever and it annoys me a bit. But anyway, she' ll survive.

I'm glad there's an investigation so we can all know once and for all the truth. Because unrelated to Jay and way before those allegations, I've seen very vile posts about Beyoncé's involvement just because she's "powerful".

Is it just me or does not seem like it's THAT big of a story? The only people foaming at the mouth are the haters surprisingly.

I'm trying to be cautious, but I agree.

I think it's a few things.

* The news cycle moves faster than ever.

* The world is pretty desensitized to a lot these days. With this being "spun" as an appendage to the Diddy ish, it (in a way) is just another branch on an already salacious and mass-reported on tree.

* The girls did SOOOOOO much with the TikTok/Jaguar ish that, while this feels like the "ah ha, see, gotcha" moment for them, it also doesn't hit as hard as if this would have come out of nowhere. It's like they came in before the beat and now it's not quite the victory song they want. Jay is already hinting at this all presenting as being ripped from social media/psychic fiction and it's giving that.

* The Carters subtle yet direct show of unity at the premiere sends a loud message: he won't disappear as if he has done anything wrong. The house is for sure on fire as they look to extinguish the BS, but they aren't about to move like it. It's smart because it leaves NO room for the "Jay Z skips the premiere amid xyz scandal" and "Beyonce puts on a brave face with Blue as divorce rumors heat up" headlines. By wasting no time showing up together, smiling, seeming "happy", etc, it kinda takes away much of the salacious angles available.

I believe he is innocent and feel that due course really should be allowed to play out (even in the court of public opinion), but I must admit that I am generally very intrigued to see how they navigate this PR-wise (stripping away my personal feeling). I literally mean the "Olivia Pope-ing" / crisis management of it all. I trust that they have the best of the best around them (from legal to PR to image consultants), yet equally keen to see their strategy and if it ultimately proves effective in the long run.

People move on quick and this bomba was overshadowed by the hot CEO killer, speaking of.. lemme go check lpsg if there are any new pics. :jonnycat:

Also expected it to be bigger. Seems like mainly swifties and barbz are posting their vicious comments cause they were only waiting for sth like this.. well I report them here

So apparently, there's another victim who is a male… :rip:

She's really giving Sofia Falcone, head of the family here  Bring on the halftime

This is definitely a one day at a time situation.  The CEO shooter being caught yesterday really diluted the Jay story, but the accuser is still considering filing a criminal complaint as well.

It could be months if not years before there's any resolution to this.

You're fundamentally misrepresenting what Lemonade is about. The title alone suggests the album is about making something sweet out of the sour, and half the songs (the latter half, ie. the conclusion and point of the story) are about the journey to and the experience of their reconciliation. At the time of Lemonade's release, they were firmly and solidly a couple. To suggest she should have released the album to Spotify to spite him and in spite of the business SHE signed into as well after she very clearly forgave him is an odd interpretation of the record.

It'd be different if the album never had a happy conclusion, if it ended with "I still hate him". But it didn't, so it's not really "a choice", it's her resuming her life as usual.

It's crazy to me that we're nearly a whole decade on from the album, and this simple fact is still lost on people.

The album is titled LEMONADE not DON'T HURT YOURSELF.

Well Jay-Z is the one who put this out there. This is from his own lawyer so I hope they are prepared to make it swift.

Whatever the outcome, let it be categoric.

I remember someone from Beyonce's crew said something that really stuck with me. Lemonade is about how a black woman's pain can be of biblical proportions.  Some people all they saw and heard was "he cheated on me and now I'm mad!".   The songs are just songs and the videos are just videos.  That's fine, but that was not the message Beyonce was going for.

Yeah, Jay's team is going in:

Will await to see how the judge reacts to all of Jay's filings, but should it go his way, this crazy Buzbee guy could actually mess up his schtick in the Diddy case by proxy. Because should Jay and co get certified rulings against him, it can undermine all of his other ish. Lemme be clear that Diddy deserves all his dues for his wrongs, but this is giving "play stupid games win stupid prizes" when it comes to how it looks like he's about to be exposed for his dubious antics.

Is there someone familiar with American civil procedure? When can we expect something important in this case?

I am asking cause in my country it would took more than a year to even start sth after lawsuit

MTE and i have to add that I'm side-eyeing the fans suggesting Beyoncé needs to "protect her children" from Jay. It's such an outrageous stance imo, it's like people are pushing the bar to the max on how they are expecting her to behave and if she does any less it's going to be "unforgivable" somehow. It's a witch hunt on Jay's side plain and simple, people escalate the situation to extreme levels just because they want him down and I don't see how a Beyoncé fan find this reasonable. I speak for myself, i never cared about Jay Z, their marriage, their family affairs etc but i can see right thru some "fans" supposedly coming out to her defense like that... it's not looking good.
