Just got a call. You didn't hear this for me but she is performing at the Grammys. She will start her performance wearing a big cowboy hat, she'll perform american requiem, 16 carriages, texas hold'em, II most wanted with miley and then Ya Ya… at the end of Ya Ya she will remove the hat and reveal a mullet. She will then perform a snippet of the rock inspired lead single of act III, which is dropping the week after the grammys.

Cowboy Carter is too long.  It's not the length itself, but that some songs were unnecessary and could have been cut altogher.  It is a GOOD album, but it's not even in her top 2. 

 

I could see her performing more with this album than REN tbh. All she has to do is stand and sing, she couldn't really do that for REN. 16 Carriages would be good. 

I know them blackbird girls butthurt. It's also funny seeing the meltdowns on Twitter about Beyoncé's nominations because her album is no longer charting. The goal post always moves because when she had the most successful albums and singles, people tried to make excuses for why she didn't win.
 

Is everyone in their mom forgetting that at the 2021 show h.e.r. won song of the year for a song that had less than 1 million views on YouTube for the video? 
 

Arianators are big mad too. Beyoncé spreads her album songs around, the other girlies only submit singles cause their album tracks are fillers. 

EVERYONE GET UP RYAN BEATTY WOULD WIN ALBUM OF THE YEAR IF CC WON (it won't). 
 

I remember doing the math because you have to have worked on 20% of the album to win AOTY alongside the artist. He's on 4 songs out of 27 idk how that worked out for him but yay!

It's a good sign that she got into country and Americana. 

IDC, I'm happy with the Grammy thing. I think as a fandom, as a culture, as a world (extra sounding, I know), we need any good news we can get this week. 

 

In one regard, we've been to this rodeo before and know the most likely outcome (a handful of wins, *probably* not AOTY, and a PR boost from whatever records she breaks). 

 

On the upside, I will never scoff at the possibility of her finally winning AOTY.

 

Ultimately, I'd "prefer" her to not care and would rather she stops attending/participating at this point. But if she's gonna do it and play the industry politics game, the reality is that most of us are going along the ride with her. 

 

I've long had a hunch that IF she's to ever win AOTY, it will be for her most random, atypical album. Because that's just how the BS always shakes out. Deserved it for pretty much every album but ultimately wins it for something totally left...almost as a justification for the previous snubs but a win nonetheless.
