And this is why an institution like the Grammy never cease to give her her flowers even though they seem to favour another type of music/singers in the awards end results. She is a living legend and that becomes undeniable when she touchs a stage.

i think this time her chances to win the AOTY are the bigger then ever before. the girls will cancel each other out, some of them have won recently and Bey could be backed up with genre votes. it's between her, Andre and Jacob Collier. maybe it'll be Jacob's year actually

Now that the novelty has worn off, I can honestly say CC is Beyoncés second best album. No one is taking rennie's crown. 

she should've submitted 16 Carriages or American Requiem to SOTY instead of Texas, but I get why she went with the hit (and obv it resonated enough to get the nod)

ROTY and SOTY never split between 1995 and 2024, they only went to different songs when one of the winners was only on one of the two categories. She's not committing the same mistake as she did with Single Ladies:

oh I didn't doubt it was a calculated thing - my point is just that they're stronger examples than THE

 

pairing SOTY and ROTY feels boring to me much of the time and just kind of exacerbates the confusion some folks have between the two
