This makes the most sense to me.. I don't think she'll drop aother album this year, but maybe announce a tour for spring/summer 2025 and drop act III before the tour starts

Imagine downvoting this as if Cowboy Carter hasn't just spent the shortest lifespan of any of her studio albums on the BB200. We can love a musician but also be open to discussing her strengths and weaknesses across her career

If she really wanted to milk this, when the third act is released she could promote the whole trilogy by dropping the film, sell boxsets with the three vinyls (and show how the back covers complete the horse) + the film dvd.. if they play their cards right, there's no way she shouldn't have all three albums charting on billboard when act III drops...

Also every era starts with some mess. Rock will definitely include a lot of samples and someone is gonna be pissed at her for "stealing" from them. Rock legends will come out of the woodwork to drag her. They're a lot more outspoken than the scary country crowd. I'm just preparing for battle.

why would you assume that anyone might be pissed at her for stealing when she always does her samples legally? if they did end up mad, they'd end up like Milkshake lady 

We aren't getting act iii this year. We will get a single in a month - earliest - and that will be about 2 months before the album. Could even be longer depending on what she has planned for the final act. For the closer. And potentially something for the visuals too. 

 

I won't rule out even a documentary covering the trilogy and explaining the project and its intention + how she grew through it 

i don't even want anything this year. give us some more teasing and a public appearance or two and we'll be good. the year is basically over now anyway and february we'll be be here in a heartbeat. it'll be more or less one year since cc and getting a third solo #1 in january/february/later will be much easier than now 

 

i wouldn't say no to a tour announcement this month tho 

The election and its consequences (Trump wins, nightmare. Kamala wins, Trump and his cronies rise up) will suck all the air out of the room through January.  I don't see her doing anything.

yes, but she hasn't posted her halloween costume in years

act iii isn't coming this year we have the holiday freeze coming (no one buys albums anymore so a self-titled drop is out of the question)

 

her posting this is obviously a big tease though so she's probably kicking off the era in january.

 

act ii + iii will be toured together most likely (with the tour being announced around grammys like last time).

 

and if its not a tour itll be a residency.
