I think Rock will be a MUCH easier sell to the GP than Country, even if Country was supposedly having a moment this year. Chappell has strong rock influences and Charli's loud abrasive style is being received super well. As was Flowers by Miley which is arguably soft rock.

At least we're not guessing R words like Revolution, Reclamation or Retirement as if the acts were Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

 

I just know this is going to be her favorite act… she's so in her element when performing Prince and Tina Turner songs. I can already see her perform this album and i'm salivating. Ya Ya and Suga Mama streamings commence NOW.

act ii + iii will be toured together most likely (with the tour being announced around grammys like last time).

She basically teased the residency in "II HANDS TO HEAVEN" — "Singing sweet songs to Vegas, singing 'I will carry on'" 

what makes me the most excited is : 

 

a) rock/funk is just so much more versatile than country, be it sonically or thematically. like she can go in so many different directions (psych rock, pop rock, ballads, funk-rock, metal, soft, aggressive, fun, sad, sexy…) and house them all on the same album without having to use the genre bending excuse to do so like with cc 

 

b) if beyoncé knows one thing it's seizing the moment and serving dramatics. this being the grand finale of the trilogy, she knows that this has to be at least as good as Ren (if not better) to satisfy people and go out with a bang. The album's (likely) main inspirations being tina, prince, betty etc. (Aka her actual idols and influences, not no damn dolly parton) has to make her real passionate about this album. After all she breathes funk and used rock influences since day one, can't say the same for the country cosplay.

 

And the third one probably being the most recently recorded and freshest in her mind could prevent her from dropping it like a dirty diaper again (hopefully). I honestly expect a very different energy from her for this last era compared to conboy (without expecting grammy performances and interviews bc i'm not stupid)

 

c) This brings us closer to potential visuals being released and ending the trilogy with them and a act 2 & 3 tour would just be insanely satisfying

So far we have had the Prince and Betty Devis references, Jack White thanking her a few months ago, and Pharrell teasing something.

 

This project already feels like it's her most personal one out of the three acts. I'm also pretty sure that stunning vocals will be showcased.

most our black legends who dominated that genre is no longer with us. and certain modern rappers/r&b artist tried tapping into that sound but it doesnt get enough attention. she has the commercial power to revive it and start a new wave.

She's having Stevie Wonder there for sure. She just didn't bring him to a studio to play harmonica for Jolene.

If ACT III is rock I know it'll be the more blues James Brown/Tina Tuner type of rock but I kinda wouldn't mind hearing her on a Avril/Evanescence type of pop/rock  That'd be kinda fun
