I don't think this has been shared, but Maya talks about Beyonce so much in this. Even when Zane (who I truly believe doesn't like Bey) brings it around to her mother, Minnie Ripperton, she takes it back to Cowboy Carter. I think this sort of praise from a woman who comes from such a musical pedigree means so much more than a lot of the superficial accolades

Now in 2024 he ass-kisses mid ass Poptarts that don't have the fraction of talent Beyonce has.

Just saw some Twitter hive talking about when she releases visuals it's going to breathe new life into all the albums and they think the three acts will shoot up to the top 3 on Billboard. The delusion runs deep, I fear.

Have we discussed how cheap the actual box sets were, too? Renaissance had the glossy black box with the text embossed on it and the painting on the inside of the box.

Cowboy Cosplay is just a flat black cardboard with the words printed on , with nothing inside but more matte black cardboard.

yeah everything about the CC physicals wasnt up to her own standards ngl. There wasnt even a booklet

I feel her intention was great and she does newer things with her voice I've never heard her do. But the songs are too long for what they are. With Beyoncé, if she has a 5 minute song we KNOW it's because there's gonna be like multiple transitions in the song. But with Billie's album, the entire song is literally THAT. No transitions or anything (until you get to the next track)

 

Thats the one complaint I have with it.

It seems a lot of the products were already in production when she shifted to Renaissance.  The CC boxes like the vinyls and CDs probably were made before Renaissance so Renaissance is probably newer and better quality.  It'll likely return to Renaissance quality or better for Act III. 

So is this era (has been for some time already) over/dead officially?

 

It's like I don't even except anything to happen at that point.

Yep! The second "single" is gassing out on T40 radio too while barely cracking the Top 20, so yeah nothing new here.
