I'm starting to appreciate Cowboy Carter more and more with each hyped up new release from a pop girl. Eternal Sunshine, Tortured Poets, Radical Optimism and Hit Me Hard and Soft. Love how we're still wondering/debating if there is an act 3 despite her just recently releasing an album titled act 2. When I say this base is darksided…

That false Australia tour rumour making national news this morning just proves that journalism needs no fact checking.
 

This all coming from some radio host alleging she'll come in October, because he got confused and thought that the October 2023 RENAISSANCE KC date was actually this coming October and that she was already in the midst of a Cowboy Carter tour  it's absolutely ridiculous.

Oh. That's why A.G. Cook is not in the liner notes on the physical version. It was another late addition lol.

The rumours aren't really credible though. They come from an ex-footballer turned radio host, who came up with the 'date' by factoring around the footy/cricket season and when the stadium may be available for a concert, and also stating that she's currently touring and finishing up in Kansas City on October 1st (which was obviously last year). 

 

We know she's had talks with stadiums across the country, as these rumours have been around since before RWT started (for example she was in talks with Allianz Stadium in Sydney, but they had a cap on concerts per year which they have now increased to accommodate her).  So the 'tip' he has received saying she is coming to Australia isn't really anything new.

I'm curious what y'all think about where Renaissance lands in comparison to Lemonade and ST. The latter 2 get a critical acclaim halo and I think Renaissance deserves the same recognition on these best albums lists 

ST and Lemonade probably get more recognition not just because they're great albums but because they have accompanying films that expound upon the music itself

I think this + it is so new in comparison. Like they've had time to cement their legacy whereas Ren is still very fresh AND already has a super acclaimed follow up. Its place in her career in the longterm just isn't clear yet even if it's #1 in my heart

So nothing.
