Got the vibe that Dolly was more involved with the album and understood what was needed (am I crazy thinking that Dolly, Tanner and Brittney are singing the intro to Tyrant?), whereas Willie and Linda were brought in to show respect and didn't really do anything else.

I didn't even think about Tyrant being that way but you're right about Hangman. I'm still absorbing this album and taking it all in but there definitely is storyline and deeper subtext and characters   here.
