Was at St Pete FL Pride yesterday (chaotic) BUT I was at Intermezzo and when I tell you BMS came on a mind a gay awakening happened in the club. Everyone was bopping and singing.

Edit: Honestly I'm more worried about the UK since Kate Bush is slaying and radio isn't factored in UK charts formula. I wanted her to get #6 #7 and #8 number one singles this era! US isn't really all that because she got 2 number ones since 2016.

And tomorrow is usually the worst day. It has already dipped under 1M in the US. I'm also shocked at the stumble in France. 

At least the UK seems to be stanning.

And I think for the UK charts, promo is really important. Her past two eras felt "non event" outside of the first few months because she refused to promote even though it sold amazingly on its own.

let's aim for stability first instead of being all down because of one not so great update. This is a 180 musically speaking for Bey. What's important is playlisting, radio and to keep things going and pushing. The reception generally speaking is positive, it just needs to build up more

I think Bey is playing a long game and BMS is giving song of the summer (which stretches til end of August. There's time.

Everything so far indicates that this is a smash in the making, and nothing I have seen relating to Spotify numbers suggests otherwise. The song is still quite stable on Spotify and we should expect it to continue falling a bit before it begins to rise when the video is released.

Agreed. Shes not 25 anymore going #1 directly, especially considering she neglected her streaming presence for so long. Its gonna take a bit, but im also super optimistic.

 

Regarding BET; Seeing Big Freedia present could hint at an anouncement more than anything. Maybe a MV preview plus a date?
