I remember waiting for my show (which was one of the last 5) all summer and feeling impatient like it would never come.

the venue is cute and innovative, but it's great gowns beautiful gowns. literally no one is there to see the performer. the production kind of takes away from her as the centerpiece, its just too distracting.. fans are there to see her, the looks, the fashion, the choreo. not some windows 11 backgrounds, unless she actually wants it to be an intimate setting, stripped down, and serve ballads all night.

yeah these are for bands or ed sheeran where people go to vibe and don't care to see the performers themselves.  

ik people would want bey on the big screen, but that defeats the purpose and breaks the immersion. with her big brain though, she could somehow make it work.

considering she’s all about the money, working less for more, why bother rehearsing an entirely different show, hiring a new crew, new stage design etc when you can squeeze over 10M out of each date on your own with the tour you were on not even a month ago

We are talking about Ms Bey who wasnt able to book venues in Ireland and other places because she was too late and the venues were taken already. She and her team are doing everything last minute and think the world always stops for them.

 

The sphere however probably approached her, so it was easier to arrange for her

I think Gaga's sales were not as high as they once were when she signed up for this residency (I might be mistaken!), and Adele notoriously hates touring so Vegas was the best solution for her (and made her fall in love with performing again!).

So Beyoncé doesn't really fall in either of these categories...

But touring would allow her to see her kids as much as she wants so who knows...

Gaga had performed at the Super Bowl previously the year she announced her residency and had gone on the Joanne World Tour, though it's understandable why Gaga did Vegas since she has had health issues while on the road. Adele is also a good point!

 

One thing I thought of with this news was how Beyoncé said in 2021 that she has struggled with insomnia throughout her life, and I think touring would be challenging if you struggled with that. Vegas maybe can give her stability and a consistent schedule. 

adele, bruno, gaga, and other names went to vegas during or after a commercial high lol.

Y’all are doing the most. Bey herself  has done residencies during her commercial peaks, I Am… Yours, Roseland, Atlantic City… this would be no different.

 

Imagine it would be a substitute for the usual award shows she does every era. Just for a more exclusive group of fans rather than as free promo for ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV or whomever.

I always think of residency just like Celine Dion's or Katy Perry's that extend over several years, but it's true that there's also short ones like Kylie's or Xtina...
