I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

I went to see her once. Tinashe and Rae Sremmurd were the best parts. Get the popcorn at Renaissance instead.

I didn't say he hasn't made anything good. I said he hasn't made anything groundbreaking. And a lot of what you listed are great tracks, but I don't think they're groundbreaking. The ones that are closet to breaking some ground relied more on the style of the artist he worked with than his own.

I also didn't mean Beyoncé herself should have produced the soundtrack, but more like its executive producer with co-production too, the vision for it. We've seen on The Gift she clearly had a vision. The soundtrack either needed to be truer to the feeling the original gave, but like, HEIGHTENED...or had a different spin that made it unique to this film. Instead it was just rather bland.

Anyway I would love to hear her cover Can You Feel The Love Tonight live... I wonder if she ever will perform a The Lion King song on stage, actually.

Disney doesn’t care about any of that. They don’t care about keeping the feeling of the original music or a new vision. They just want to keep making the same movies, wether good or bad, and getting money for it; just like Taylor with those albums. :toofunny3:

I'm still unsure as to why we didn't get a Beyonce cover of "Shadowland" on the film soundtrack, even as a bonus track. They really missed out.

Given how unnecessarily dark her tone sounded back then... maybe it was for the best. Spirit was already a mess.

Our local Queen is the fifth Best Selling Female Artist of all time according to GWR. :clap3:

i love the Ren song performances and a lot of them are easily my fav beyoncé perfs EVER. but i can’t help but wonder how they would’ve looked like if she did 100% of the choreo, cause a lot of the routines the dancers did was really really good but you don’t notice it as much when she’s not one doing it

even when she just half asses the choreo it still adds so so much to the performance as opposed to just standing there (just compare the early Cuff it ones to the last ones in the jokey outfit or the first and last Church Girl one :WAP:

i’d also love to know what MSCWT/FWT Beyoncé would’ve done with the songs live

Yeah this is the most choreoless era yet, but she is heading into her mid 40's so the transition is expected, see Tina Turners change in choreo.

barely 3 Ren songs in her top 10 :biblionana:

Who is streaming that terrible echoes song? Gays? Straight male Travis fans bumping his album? It’s the only beyonka song I have not listened to more than once.

The chore is honestly one of the major things lowering the tour on my list, honestly. The first half of OTR2 is equivalent to to the first half of this tour 🤣🤣🤣. She really cranked it up once she got to the US. Remember the fxcking daily meltdowns on Twitter about her just standing there during Alien Superstar!

You’re such a hater if you don’t like her version of Can You Feel the Love Tonight

Not sure if this is a joke or not, but ... I think my opinion on it is completely valid. Her version didn't really do much, and probably it's not her fault at all, but the production and the general punch of the song didn't have the same release as the original, and if it did, since it's a re-make, it should have had more of a release.

Perhaps it's also due to the colourlessness of the new film adding nothing to any musical scene, but also it feels like Beyoncé was in her Perfect (Remix) vocal bag when recording this song...that overly soft half-whispered seriousness which I don't really favour from her vocals. It seems she's found a sweet spot between that and her all-out-sanging on RWT with her approach to Dangerously in Love, and the result is much more pleasing and emotive.

DELRESTO is a bop & flows well on UTOPIA.

I love Delresto too. I appreciate both Travis and Beyoncé exploring that new sound and the collab feels natural, not forced. It's not the kind of song most people will like but i'm glad they made it and it also fits very well on his album.

Yes it is easily her best...because its gives her space to emote the songs properly which i will always prefer over boomkak moves
