Like! Disappear is one of my FAVOrites but I always thought it was a midtempo :clown:

Disappear is definitely a ballad on the mellower side to me, tbh.

I'd never get the idea to classify songs like Speechless; Dance for You; Rocket; Me, Myself and I or Blue as ballads, though.  I also have trouble thinking of Bigger as a ballad. It's more of slow building mid-tempo with a grand, dramatic climax to me.

It's been part of the "choreo" since 2007! :lmao:

As a superstar I think she's hyper aware of what she looks like at all time, I don't think it came as a surprise that she was curvier than her usual during before/during shooting the visuals.

She's done this for pushing 20 years now :rip:And the way people eat it up every time like it's just an off the cuff moment kills me.

yeah but i feel like she really means it now as opposed to 20 years ago, goes along well with the whole "i embrace imperfection” narrative of the era (even tho we know she doesn’t :deadbanana4:

There is only one way… and that is… the RENAISSANCE way 🤲🏼

bc a lot of them simply don’t give high fashion but bottom 2 from a bad drag race episode :rip:

there’s no need for 200 different looks when 100 or so of them aren’t hitting, just stick to the regulars that do hit

and the bold part is literally the entire problem :deadbanana4: no one gaf about clunky dresses, that shouldn’t be the only thing we look forward to, we should look forward to getting surprise songs, surprise features, surprise visuals… not clothes lol

This is such an exaggeration I’m sorry like there have definitely been some misses but I 100% believe there have been more hits than misses.

+ the focus on fashion has made it’s way to the audience in such a fun way that it’s created an unofficial (well official as of recently) dress code that I personally haven’t seen happen with any other artists tour. :gaycat5:

I do agree that it’s sad the fashion is the only part of this era currently that there is to look forward to.

Pink Floyd's The Wall (one of the greatest concept albums of all time) - Released: 30 November 1979

Pink Floyd – The Wall (the album's accompanying musical drama film) - Released: 23 May 1982

Enjoy the music and Bey Patient :cm:

Well of course you have to consider that when The Wall was released in 1979, MTV was still 2 years away and music videos weren't standard yet so it's not like people were expecting anything.

Miss. Beyoncé can't relate.

:cm:

It seems weird to say the fashion is the only thing fans can look forward to, when we literally have her singing new runs almost every night. Sure, that's a small, subtle thing, but if we didn't have the fashion switches would people really be saying "the tour is so boring, there is nothing interesting about it?" Or, is the fashion moments just the bigger talking points and you're distracted by that and can't see the magic of the little moments?

I duno, whether you like the looks or not, it does feel exciting for the audience there in the stadium to see her debut a new costume. That small thing is quite exciting, and sure, it would be better as a random song, but this is also Beyoncé who is not going to be rehearsing 20 different songs just to sprinkle into the tour. Instead, Beyoncé seems more comfortable doing what she's rehearsed and then knowing how and where to play with the format and add in new adlibs or whatever.

Speaking of Beyoncé's fashion... does anyone shop at SSENSE? They sell clothing but they also make editorials, and they posted a sort of fashion writeup about the tour:

Yes, she released BTINH (song and video).

Not the city of Vegas changing its name of Las Beygas. They want to be BeyTL so bad :lmao:

i’m exaggerating on purpose but there have been a lot of misses or at least just meh outfits, especially during the US part… 70% the costumes just aren’t needed, she should stick to the classic ones :rip:

and lbr the chrome / silver theme was the unofficial dress code before the tour even started, everyone was talking about getting disco cowboy hats and wearing silver

but we agree on the last part, like in 5 years no one will look back and say "oh wow the 73rd costume of the 42nd show was so good", we’d look back at never performed songs or deep cuts… which we won’t be able to :deadbanana2:

"she doesn’t have to perform new songs or fan favorites, be content with a new adlib on a song she sung a million times" WORMS :rip:

singing Bigger (or any other song she rehearsed for dubai THE SAME YEAR anyway) really isn’t rocket science lol the excuses :sorry:

I really think I’m even more obsessed with the RENAISSANCE era than ever before thanks to the tour — like, maybe she really was on to something with giving us crumbs, nothing for several months, another crumb, and then this tour. I still want visuals, but, I am content with the tour and watching all of the clips/fashion, etc :relax:

I’ve had enough, what’s your address? The BTINH hate ends tonight!

I really hope ACT II and ACT III are just some let-down nonsense of visuals and documentary because I cannot fathom 2 more eras of this crap :biblionny:

Idk if it has been said so gonna say it again sry. The outfit posts are tired. They are beyond tired.

If she wants iconic “lewks” from this tour she should not be changing every night and assaulting our feeds with completely over the top ensembles that look like they each cost $20 million . Madonna’s cone bra, whatever MJ wore, it was consistent through their tours and the image became embedded. And notice the outfits weren’t all that elaborate….

Her team is way too invested in the “fashun” when there are million other things fans care about

Agreed. It’s why the hands loewe bodysuit and the mugler bee suit are the most iconic looks so far. I think she should’ve kept the show with the same outfits and maybe two other similar variants just in case things go wrong (like the silver loewe and the blue version of the original cuff it/bms dress)

although I like the new looks (well sometimes:deadbanana:) it should’ve just been for the ballads section. How cute of a concept would it have been if she debuted a new look and rotated one song for each date with other songs that don’t get much love :/

um, something like the new run she did on Dangerously in Love in St. Louis (I think?) was stunning and amazing and I'm very happy with that, but I never said "just be content with new adlibs", I explained that we are indeed getting just small and subtle things which are perhaps getting overshadowed by the fashion.

I also never said that her performing one of her songs, which I'm sure she'd do a fine job at without any rehearsal at all, was some impossible thing. I said that this is BEYONCÉ, and we know her to be a perfectionist who simply is not going to perform what is not intended nor readied for the tour, regardless of how long ago she last performed it. Whether it's rocket science or not, being the Virgo she is I just don't think she's going to just do that, so asking that she does seems futile and pointless. We've seen how choreographed even the cinematography is, she's in front of thousands of phones capturing it, I just can't see her deciding to debut a surprise song every night or even every so often without the control or assurance that it'll go exactly how she wants it. That's not even something she did on any other tours except some specific instances (Standing on the Sun, for example), so it's kind of odd that we are asking it from her as if it's something we now lack.

Not to mention, if someone watches everything that happened at the concert beforehand and then is mad she didn't do anything new, that's THIER problem. The debuted looks are fun too, but if she didn't do that, complaining that she didn't would also be one's own problem.

I just want act 2 to be a rock inspired album and to come out before the end of this year
