Speaking of presidential. Beyoncé’s best stand there in place and sing performance was At Last at Obamas first dance. Yes better than Listen on the Oprah show. This vocal performance felt so magical then and it feels more magical now knowing the state this country is in. There was such a strong energy of togetherness in that room. then after that performance was her best interview of all time. She didn’t sound robotic or rehearsed and she cried real genuine uncontrollable tears. It feels like the only time we got to see the true Beyoncé in public. And this is the best version of Beyoncé. When she isn’t overthinking what to say. WATCH IT NOW AND AGREE WITH ME.

seeing some good things about MOMENT lenses so far, but it’s like a whole system (lens + case + mount I think) so I’m gonna research more tomorrow. I know there are plenty of lil cheapy ones but I also want it for other use and have thought about it now and then - Bey is just kinda like the catalyst for finally diving into it

Run the World's main issue for me these days is just that it sounds so extremely dated. it came out in 2011 sampling a 2009 song, so it's stuck in a very specific time period. the lyrical content doesn't help with it either — Beyoncé's expression of feminism has evolved quite a bit since then.

 

it's a classic and an anthem, and the choreo is iconic as well. but let's call it what it is!

Agreed 100% and THE VIDEO saved it!!!

 

We were desperate for new Bey music at the time but the song was meh and Pon De Floor was already good as an instrumental.

I feel like we are going to get more rain delays. August and September are just too risky for stadiums. The Texas and Florida shows in particular could be in danger. Hopefully everything goes well.

Blue came out just for her little part in My Power and they did a pause before she started to dance. She left after it which I'm 100% is cause of the rain

she should NEVER chop Love on Top it's ridiculous. she could do a shortened version starting with the Jackson 5 switch up and let the crowd sing a little. it's such a cool moment, I'd be sad to miss it.

I'm just happy I got to see her before sun glasses mania  

I was at the show tonight. It was incredible. However the lead up to the show was a MESS and getting out of the show and back to DC was a nightmare.

 

Concert was supposed to start at 8. It was storming/lightning and got delayed till at least 9. I heard she never comes on until 9 anyway… so whatever .Then it was POURING from 9-10. She started 2 hrs late at 10 in the rain. Im just happy it happened period, by 10 I was nervous it was gonna get cancelled. The rain made the ballads more impactful though lol and by that point we were so desperate, drenched and thirsty lol

 

She performed until 12:30 am so she didn’t let it stop her much. They didn’t extend the metro late enough after the concert. I’ll keep it short for the non DC girls, but this stadium is WAY outside of the city and the nearest metro is a THIRTY minute walk from the stadium. Any Ubers called from stadium back to DC we’re gonna be almost $100. I still tried calling Uber after the show and I couldn’t even get one, so had to do that 30 min walk to metro. When I got on metro, they were pausing 5-10 mins at a time at each station! It took so long!! I said **** it close to home and called a $30 Uber back to my apt.

Anyways logistically the concert tonight was a trial & tribulation per post above lol but the concert itself was everything! My seat and view was top notch! She sounded impeccable. She said we were one of her favorite crowds ever. I think she felt for what we went through prior to her starting in the rain lmao. 
 

My favorite moment was Heated and Summer Renaissance. Also Dangerously In Love at the beginning.

Love on top should never be skipped. She'd be better off removing almost any song that's not on Renaissance.

The budget for the wardrobe alone is mind boggling to me, let alone the cost of producing a show like this this has the most outfit changes compared to her previous tours it seems. If I had to be her finance manager I would simply jump off their 200 million dollar mansion and end it all, I can’t even imagine the purchases she had to make for this tour, and the fact that she can afford everything with ease

I highly doubt it made any significant dent at all. ivy park aside, a lot of brands would pay to dress her, lol. i’m sure she’s purchasing certain things though, just not all. 

 

going purely off of retail value though, yeah the budget is insane. she’s putting her whole team in designer clothes.

Texas dates should be fine - those stadiums have retractable roofs

 

praying for KC though. if she gets Cosmetica’d and has the very final date shortened because of weather I might kermit
