  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

like before. I have extreme body pain, it sucks when your body says NO. She looked insane and happy.

1000%. I'm a very active person and had a surgery (physical hardware implant) that was supposed to put me on 6 months of recovery according to my doctor. I could barely stand still after the 4th month and ended up playing sports anyway... found out very quickly why it was supposed to be 6 months. :jonnycat: And even after that, my performance was never the same and the random bursts of pain from trying to do what I used to do before.

I totally get it. I'm just praying for Mutha! :chick3: On one level, I want it to be temporary for selfish reasons. But also, more importantly, I don't want her to hurt for too long. :cries:

I mean.. I was at least expecting some MOVEMENT during the outro, and I’m not even talking about dancing.

But maybe walking around the stage, serving cunty facial expressions and shuffling her shoulders so sassily like she loves to do. She just stood there, looking a bit over it even. It was kind of surreal.. I will say though that she looked flaw-*******-FREE.

This injury must really have her shook :'( she’s sending us a message performing Flaws and All. We love u unconditionally queen :weeps:

You are exaggerating a bit. shes still serving

At least the basic locals heard Single Ladies as interlude

This is what everyone says about every tour and initial tickets end up being

1.) not cheaper

2.) if they are cheaper, they are immediately sold out

3.) if they are cheaper, the ticket seller website is riddled with hackers/bots that would have prevented me from getting cheaper tickets

:skull:

Hasn't Beyoncé just copied G*ga according to your thread? What are you doing here?

The little vocal flourishes she added to Get Me Bodied were really something.

I join the others in saying I don't mind a reduction of dancing if we are still getting great vocals, or getting greater vocals that she'd otherwise be able to give while also dancing.

Also I think judging based on a livestream is hard. When you see some close up videos, her facial expressions make up for the fact that she's mostly bopping. She is still performing down and we all know what makes Beyocné such a special performer is not just her dance abilities, but the charisma and way she IS on stage.

A Queen being inspired by another Queen means I cant see a Queen live?

You’re probably right. I think my expectations were just so different from what she ended up giving here. Which is obviously my own dumb fault. Personally this particular number didn’t get me hype :emofish: but I’m glad a lot of you guys enjoyed it!

High-key want her to keep Rather Die Young. It's just... it has a special place in my heart after it came to live during Roseland.

It finally "clicked" and it's been love ever since.:jonnycat:

I just realized she had a fan that she didn't use at the appropriate moment.

This is a MOMENT idc idc. She is such a charismatic performer. She just gives energy.

Sorry. Hope you get better. Yeah same, we are used to her going hard, so it’s understandable. I just don’t think she would be touring if it was a case of just rest and get better. It’s probably permanent, and she is doing what she can. It was a long ass show too.

its just a different approach. we all thought she would lip more and serve more choreo, here she displays literally perfect vocals on this distorted moment and completely captures the vocal essence of this part LIVE and with tons of expressiveness.

Well the reduced dancing and Freedia telling to stop asking for the visuals (:deadbanana2:) pretty much comfirmed the injury had a massive effect on the era as a whole.

she really has me contemplating wiping out my savings to get CR for St. Louis since it’s close-ish and decently priced (compared to the cost of resell nnnn) :jonny3:

Yeah that’s prob why we didn’t get the visuals. Choreography.

She has loads of songs in the top 200 on AM in Sweden.

Whew, I’ve been up and down but now I’m so excited. I’m excited that she’s doing something different, that we didn’t expect, and now everyone simply has to adjust to. I LOVE THAT FOR US. Giver her time and yourselves to adjust. It’s the first show. There’s a reason I don’t like going to the first 5 stops on any tour. If you watched via a live stream, relax, please. Especially if you don’t even have tickets. Complaining about something you’ve not paid for will always look…special. Relax.

I need Bey to not over exert herself. If she needs to warm up slowly, for a full recovery, so be it. Also, she hasn’t toured like this in awhile. She has to get back into the swing of it. Let sis warm up. I hope her injury isn’t a permanent one. If it is, she’s making up for it the best she can and her best is kinda shitting. If it’s a temp. injury, she doesn’t need to over exert herself too much until she knows she can give it her all without adding extra injury. Just relax. It was the first show and not even giving the Yoncé we’re all use to, she still slayed immaculately through shoddy live streams. Relax. :gaycat4:

I feel slightly conflicted and have a lot of thoughts. I LOVED that the vocals were more in the forefront than FWT and have been asking for it for years and the production is really creative and exciting to watch.  I don’t mind interludes because I’ve legit gotten lightheaded at her concerts so the chill time is great for me. But like others have mentioned and what will likely continue to be harped on for the rest of the tour is the dancing.

Most of us know Bey is a vocalist first and the moves come next but I gotta admit moments that could’ve been such highlights kinda fell flat due to the lack of meaningful movement. Her particular combo of vocal and dance have always led her mid and uptempos toward such a cathartic release and I’m sure Bey has tried to make the best of things, but it was a bit disheartening to see those rising moments sort of stagnate instead. but what can she do?

After seeing this I’m MUCH more sympathetic about many aspects of this era like visuals, performances, public appearances. Also to performers like Britney who suffered such injuries and never regained their former prowess (extenuating circumstances, I know).

Still a great show, just different. I don’t see her until late September and am glad I watched this show so I can manage my expectations as well as the group I’m going with.
