Totally don't blame her if her leg/feet is injured. No one can help that. But then, I think she should up the arm choreo. :chick1: And I say that lovingly. Some more movement, even if just upper body, would infuse more energy into the songs like she used to have. The tradeoff would be vocals, cause the diaphragm might be impacted. But, then I would take more lipsyncing/pre-recorded vocals in exchange.

I just think if she's not going to give "Tina Turner" style then she should lean all the way into "Madonna" style. All love, no shade. Just trying to see how she can raise the caliber again while considering the limitations.

oh god no....horrible

  • It was the best concert of my life, bar none. Idc!    It was extraordinary, it was ineffable.  I knew I loved it based on the videos but I... Hey I don't know.    Best moment

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

The one delusion I'm holding on to is that her foot/leg will heal and then she'll be full out voguing in future dates. All the pieces are there! So I won't stop believing. :gaycat4:

The funny thing is, the show was perfectly FINE for ANY popstar. I've watched Chromatica, Future Nostalgia, and Eras tours and it's right in line.:dies:

But then you start comparing it to Bey's own past performances specifically... and it's easy to get "disappointed". But let's be real, she killed it. It's a matter of perspective. Beychella and FWT were already pushing the upper bounds of greatness.  :gaydonnacat1:

She made it clear in homecoming that Coachella was the furthest she was going to push herself physically in her life. She is smart to stick by that. Can’t wait to see the clips when I get home

I NEED people to start uploading the interludes because one is particular was basically a trailer for the visuals :duca:

RIGHT im trying to hear what she said in the opening. there was something about this being her safe place or something.

You don't get injured, have surgery for said injury, heal and then GO BACK to the same behavior that likely contributed to said injury :noparty:

make it make sense

Yeah idk I loved the ballad opening, it's grounding and humbling to be reminded she's a singers singer first and foremost before the spectacle starts. The heavens opening with DIL is :jonny: And yeah with the length of the show I'd rather have her vocals fresh and pristine :jonny: If she does change the ballads around like people are suspecting she better keep DIL and 1+1 for me

Still obsessed with the love she showed for 4 :celestial4:IRDY was a moment out of left field I didn’t know I needed.

Hopefully she’ll finally perform Start Over once and for all assuming she switches up the ballads in the beginning moving forward.

I was rudely interrupted by work bs is the show over? What are the highlights?

It’s her foot. The dancing and energy were not giving like it should had.

She was dancing like her life depended on it on the OTW tour just a few years back.

Everything else was AMAZING, the stage, productions,VOCALLSSSSS and she looked soooooo ******* good. I wish we had that BEYONCÉ that performed DEJA VU at the Bet award on that stage. Maybe her age is really hitting ha and her joints just aren’t that flexible anymore but TINA was a hag n she was GIVINGGGGGG every bunt until her last show

The show would be so different if we were still getting a dance heavy show. It’s a shame but it was only a matter of time. Tina never danced like Bey though? She was great, but Bey was doing serious choreography for years.

That isn’t going to happen. If she was going to heal, she wouldn’t be going on tour and possibly get damaged further. She could have arthritis or anything, we don’t know.

Get sweet dreams off the list, that doesn't count

Heated might be the biggest letdown for me. I did NOT envision her singing that song simply standing in front of a mic stand :deadbanana4:

This is only first show too...Beyonce is going to watch the playback & likely make some adjustments too as she always does

Even if she reduced the physicality of her show due to her injury - her voice alone is enough and that will be the case for the next couple of decades. The mic was ON and the show looked incredible!

Mary J Blige, Britney, Nina Sky, The Jackson 5, Diana Ross all got referenced tonight :jonnycat:

wonder if she’s going to cover and interpolate different artists in every concert. it would be a serve since this era is all about paying homage to pioneer musicians and black culture. :clap3:
