I think the point is that going to see her in person shouldn't be the ONLY way to see her perform... like why is her last HQ performance "Be Alive" still?

What annoys me the most is, I am older than you guys, so I remember when Janet was the literal "Beyonce" of the world.

 

Now she's literally touring small arenas on the same night as a Taylor Swift playing stadiums in a mostly black city.

 

This could very well be Beyonces future if she keeps playing games.

 

Outside of Tina Turner, no other black female artists have lasted as long touring artists on a global scale.

She’s not just about the music + tours, though, is the real gag.  She consistently has multiple business endeavors, at every turn, that she would like to rely on the strength of her fanbase to support, with near zero effort on her part.

You are correct on that one. She should release that if she has it. The one thing I’ve been thinking is if she’s unhappy with how the footage turned out. We all know how much of a control freak she is and how she always has in mind how everything’s going to look on camera (see be alive being pre filmed). It also makes me think of the 2016 vmas. It was a great performance for sure, but I rmemeber during, I think, formation or dhy the lighting and the smoke was kind of ugly. Maybe that’s why she doesn’t upload certain performances. In homecoming I believe she said her vision wasn’t coming accross on the footage. And remember that French award show performance where those people didn’t listen to her and made everything white? 
 

So yes, that is a valid criticism, but maybe she just doesn’t think it’s up to par to what her fans deserve. 
 

That being said, hasn’t she released tons of tour DVDs over the years? I’ve been rewatching them lately and reminded why I love her so much. She also has like hundreds of live performances to discover. I’ve been seeing ones I never even knew existed .

Don’t forget she’s just as much a filmmaker as she is a musician. The cinematography in Homecoming is some of my favourite ever.

Janet was never the “Beyoncé” I think maybe in the 2000s you could say that but Beyoncé has farrrr eclipsed her and is now compared to her brother by most people. Janet was never a stadium girl never hailed as “the queen” etc. 

 

Anyways I’m not that mad anymore she’s going on tour next week I’m so excited

it's 3D because she won't perform in person, only on the screen. everyone will get paper 3D viewing glasses as a souvenir.

 

I have faith that she’s going to do some revolutionary **** on tour that will go viral. Then release the visuals for a second wave & announce additional legs.

I swear if they're handing out 50,000 VR headsets The onstage visuals and effects are then visible only inside each headset, thereby keeping much of the performance secret and preventing people from recording a "complete" performance. If one wants to record anything, all one gets is her and her dancers on a bare ass stage. Genius.

It's very apparent the plans were derailed or something, I mean with all of the tour pushbacks, the fact that the I'm That Girl teaser came out over 38 weeks ago, there has been absolutely no talk about any further ACTs, and just complete silence tells us all we need to know.

 

I've been a fan a long time, but this isn't really it, seems messy and disorganized, and I've really lost a lot of interest.

I've also been a fan for most of my life (basically my entire life that I can remember) and I'm feeling the same way. We aren't alone in feeling it and I think a lot of casual fans have been turned off by her perceived attitude, whether it's accurate or not.
