I really think if she’s gonna drop anything we won’t ever know ahead of time. I feel like her team does a lot of social listening and if there’s any signs of the surprise being spoiled, she will push a release (even if the insider was correct) just to be petty.

I hate the title Enlightenment.  
 

We need easy spelling titles so the dummies can FIND the album and stream it.  The girls were losing it over Renasiance.

Future and Enlightenment sound awful 

Enlightenment is giving virtuoso intellect, a big fat NO. Rodeo is a big Travis album title so I can’t see her doing that either it would get confused for it, they’re both from houston too

If she came up with intriguing titles like Alien Superstar, Pure/Honey, AHAP, and Virgo’s Groove. I know Act II will have an interesting title. 

 

PS: FUTURE sounds more like a Bieber album name.

They're so...literal. 

Still kind of gagged that Renaissance is called...Renaissance. Mainly because stans caught on way earlier, which is typically not a Bey thing to rubber stamp. 

 

That said, it sounds like a statement but not in the cheesy/cliche way. It really works. 

 

Future and Enlightenment are SO on the nose and uninspired. It's giving...the keywords Parkwood had on their mood board for the concept of the album. Both work in that capacity, but not as the titles one then goes with.

 

Future is especially wack as it suggests she's saying the music on it is the sound of the future or indulgently implies that she's ahead of ish in the present. All may be true, but leaning into it so literally is late and a very "older diva" thing to do. 

 

In a perfect world, as Chart Hive, I'd love for her to tie Renaissance into everything (as I think that's the only way to combine the sales):

 

Act 1: Renaissance

 

Act 2: Rodeo Renaissance 

 

Act 3: Renaissance in the Mix (Remix Album) <<< not what I'd go with, but just an example. 

 

The game has changed and the likes of Taylor have shown that top-tier acts can drop albums in quick succession and enjoy a huge streaming boost because of it. And while Bey can (and likely is) adapting to that, I'd still like to see her do it in the context of her tried and true way of working the same album for years on end.

 

So, rather than move on to a whole new titled project, I'd like to see her HAMMER the literal word RENAISSANCE. From the music, to the tour, to this couture-ish. It renders everything all the more iconic, essentially sees her pushing the same overall project but with exciting new chapters along the way, and maximizes her sales ability. Imagine the box set potential at the end of it all?!

I agree and honestly its not a far fetched theory. We knew she had been in the studio with Honey Dijon a few weeks/months before Renaissance was announced

Of the Rennie themed titles, Reformation is better than Enlightment and would make sense with a more grounded, accoustic, emotional album
