I'm sorry but fans have all the right to be unhappy with this whole ordeal.

It is disrespectful of her to have dropped a bomb like this then ignore the fans for almost a year.

Again, nobody, I assure you nobody wanted another IASF or even 4 from her. We're aware she's at a different point in life. Most of us in here would've been more than happy with an era like Lemonade where the content is there in time and she does a few high profile performances before going on tour. To show some involvement and enthusiasm for you long awaited project, you know?! What has she done since FREAKING June last year? Vacationing in Croatia and perform a private gig in Dubai where she offered pouches to guests to make sure they dont film her so nobody of us could see it? :deadbanana:

It was already beyond ridiculous for her to not do anything in 2022, but we were still hoping she'd at least do something at the Grammys. She shows up late, doesnt do anything and leaves an hour after arriving :toofunny2: Now she's back to hiding as well.

I really believe all the praise and reverence has finally got up to her head where she thinks she's too good for anything. You're never too good to show gratitude towards the fans that have taken you where you are. But ut is what it is. It's not like we can do anything about it so we just take it out on here to release our frustration :michael:

Like I know she doesn’t owe her fans anything, technically speaking. She gave us the music and the tour coming but like what about the younger demographic? Like it’s crazy to me to think there’s people in high school who were born around the IASF era. Most of these kids ever known her to be is an overly distant, untouchable “Queen” that doesn’t do any interviews or promote much at all. It’s no wonder the “overrated/hyped” argument revolving her is so prevalent. Renaissance was the perfect opportunity to reintroduce her vivacious self to a new generation of fans by doing what she does best, but she chose silence… like if it wasn’t for TikTok… :deadbanana2:

granted, it’s not over yet.

i don’t come here often so pardon me but where the f*ck are these visuals?
:irate:

Just let this sink in

She did a televised performance for freaking Be Alive, whereas we will most likely never get one for

- Break My Soul, the #1 lead single of her first major album release in 6 years

- Cuff It, her biggest hit since 2009

- Virgo's Groove, the best song she's ever recorded

:rip:

I think I have finally let the disappointment and anger sink in as far as how bad this album has been treated a while ago, I just don’t care anymore whether things will happen or not.:rip: Whenever she decides to do something I’ll be ready waiting and stanning, but I can’t bother to complain anymore about the bleakness. She has successfully made me numb, my soul has indeed been broken contrary to her #1 hit lead single.:gaycat6:

I say all this but best believe I will have a full on freakout when she eventually stuns at the Met gala in her Cuff Hit outfit, visuals drop, AHAP and Heated are #1 smash hits, and breaks box office records with her world tour. And to top it off I’m gonna claim this was the plan all along and that she’s a marketing genius and we just need to trust the process

Her approach to her music has been so weird lately (past decade).  For someone who states music is everything, she acts like she could gaf about it post release.  Doesnt make any sense and the unbothered persona is so dated.  If you are so unbothered about your own product, why should anyone else gaf.

Reason why IVP failed w Adidas and why act ii is going to break her #1 album streak. This seems to be Beyonces new goal though, so-

I still cant believe she managed to stall the momentum of this era so perfectly. Yes girl, give us nothing!

I think (for most artists) the most enjoyable part is the creating of the music. Once it’s released it’s basically the public’s possession and the artist moved on to the next thing . At least this is how I believe Bey feels about her albums now. She loves creating still, but she’s def over the business side of it and playing by the industry’s rules

….

All this **** I’m doing is boring

These record labels are boring

I was just watching performances of her old songs and realized that we haven't gotten a truly vocally-challenging song from her in a long time. I think "Heaven" is the last one in that league. Not counting "Plastic Off the Sofa" or "Virgo's Groove" because the challenge comes from vocal runs, which Bey is a master of, not high notes. Do you think we'll ever get songs like these again?

I miss her singing, but I can understand why she's not making them anymore. Most of her new songs seem to be tour-optimized.

Now wait ... compared to who? It will be 2 billion or near it in one year. How is that bad? The album has held up way better than any of us could have expected. P!nk is doing 1.5 million per day with a new album, would you prefer that? :rip: some of you are just not realistic, she is not a new artist, she is not going to be doing 6 - 7 million daily like Olivia Rodrigo, she is not part of the streaming era.

Sam Smith 3.7 million per day, 2.7 million coming from just Unholy. Not good.

Honestly I thought the album would be Doing 4.5m a year from release because I thought it'd have multiple hits... Turns out it has 1

It'll probably be doing 4.5m during the tour run. But yeah it could of done better but I also expected some form of promo and at least 3 singles like all her past main eras

Lem had Sorry/Hold Up/All Night.

My issue with visuals is that we had a trailer released a while back. She lied.

Overall it's not bad because Cuff It is saving it. Without this song smashing, it'd look bad bad.

This is my take as well. Renaissance is doing fine numbers. Nothing great, but definitely not bad, especially taking into consideration her  age/length in industry, etc.

...But the only reason it is still doing fine numbers is because of Cuff It, a song she/her team had zero part in making “happen”. Had the song not been picked up the way it was, the album would be flat out bombing right now. Less than 2M streams a mere 8 months after release. This fact makes me very worried for act 2. If they apply the same rollout and aren’t lucky to get another Cuff It, it will flat out be a huge underperformance.

She was doing the same numbers prior to the GRAMMYs and tour announcement, and with that, the numbers went up for a 1.5 months.

The new full interview with Bey for Vogue France drops online tomorrow. Praying Mama has some new announcements for us. 🙏

I'd say the album is doing pretty good overall, still in the Top 20-30 of the BB200. If we are talking only about streaming then I fully agree with you. If there is another album soon the risk of underperformance is heavy, although the Tour might help a lot.

Im excited to see new photos of the Balmain collection. The photos Olivier posted with the red background showed the details of the outfits so much more!

If she actually shares pertinent information in a random Paris Vogue "interview" about chandelier dresses a year after her most acclaimed album came and went :deadbanana2:

I doubt we'll get anything. Remember we all waited for a lengthier interview after that little Vogue article last year and then we all realized that little article was it

it’s either speculating about crumbs or ranking her albums again :giraffe:
