Ofc there's nothing wrong per se with these choices but Wembley and Stade are the iconic ones in their respective cities that she played before. Is it due to last minute booking? @Mercurio

Most likely, crazy busy year. But upon looking the only people playing Wembley are Harry Styles and Blur. It could be they're moving away or limiting musical slots.

It'll only be embarrassing for Bey if the public sentiment was that she was paying for it. Which is not the case.

 

For the Grammys (who need every shred of relevance and respect back after numerous scandals), going purposefully against the grain with an album almost everyone...critics and GP... agree is the AOTY would be a clown move.

 

They've shown they don't mind doing this in the past, so a win isn't a guarantee, but between having a refreshed committee, the clear signalling of Ren being AOTY, and their own needs as both an institution and a broadcast, I'd say they (believe it or not) need the Bey win more than she actually needs it herself.

The iconic ST drop followed by the back to back embarrassment of this and the 2013 Grammy's where she messed up and she's caught lipping... 

 

This wasn't that bad, just underwhelming. And XO was already dead on the chart and outpeaked by DIL at this point. I wish she had time to do something bespoke like a haunted + Drunk mash up.

The Grammy's will be awkward, I don't think she'll get it, but even if she did it'll be a mess. The nominations were already mess when her mention took up a whole page, and we all know everybody and their mom will be going on stage to get it.

 

Regardless of what happens Twitter and the haters will be out with their claws the next day.

I’ll never understand why she would feel like she had to lip sync DrIL of ALLLL songs

I really was so annoyed with her, because it was either being phoned in or was an ill-advised creative that saw her basically doing the opposite of what was expected of a "Beyonce" performance to seem edgy/cool. IMO, she only got away with both because we were all still basking in the self-titled hype. We were still gagged by it all. 

 

She won't get that pass from me this time given this crazy wait. Half of why I want the visuals/tour ish ASAP is so that we can move past this annoying chapter and really just have all her cards on the table(music, visuals, whatever her present performing abilities are). I wouldn't want to wait...only for her to serve up product and then sit waiting for another piece of the pie again. Nah. 

 

Not Be Alive being the only “live” performance we got this year. It really got the last laugh after y’all called it trash. 

I’m not counting on Beyoncé winning AOTY. However, she really deserves it, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for mother. I truly believe it’s 1 of 2 things she really wants but doesn’t have.

The intro arrangement is amazing. The horns and string breakdown followed by the additional "footprints in the sky" arrangement is one of my musical highlights of the year. Before the rumour of act 3 being a Jay Collab came to light I was hoping act 3 would be rich, elaborately woven, orchestral Soul and RnB music.

I think it's been a while since we had classical interwoven with RnB

In here was an absolute mess over this alleged Dubai concert, I won’t get into the politics of that. 

 

Anyhow in regards to how this era is going, it could be better from a fan experience. I became after the B’Day era finished. IASF is the first era I kept up with everything and it remains the most exciting era to me. Despite it being her worst album, although that’s definitely not what I said at the time, it was fun. 4 was also fun to follow, not so much for the charts. BEYONCÉ/Lemonade were fun in their own right due to the BTS, surprise album, performances, tour etc. 

 

You’ve heard her comment on how she’s sensitive about her art, gets nervous performing songs for the first time and has very old school ideology. It seems as though her ideal is for fans to focus on what she puts out, embrace her when she makes herself accessible and let her live her life otherwise. Unfortunately, for her we’re not in the times of Nina Simone when the outlets for promotion were limited to radio/newspaper and celebrities weren’t so accessible. 

 

Renaissance… I think the ‘plan’ is in the title. While I don’t think everything has gone exactly to plan, I do believe she is doing the opposite of BEYONCÉ/Lemonade. Taking a more The Gift/BIK route, which hopefully isn’t delayed as long. With the way the industry is, she doesn’t need the album to smash right out the bat but there’s opportunity to revive and maintain. If a song from 1985 can smash, I think it’s fair to say is never really over. 

 

If it’s a 3 solo studio album project, her being absent could (& I think will) work in her favour in the long run. I suspect the albums will come within 12/18 months of each other, during the tour, to have each in 3 Grammy voting periods. 

 

Personally if it’s not 3 albums, I’ll riot. A documentary, tour etc  is not a 3 part project ‘recording over…’ however many years and maybe I’m being greedy but a film should be an accompaniment not part of the 3 part project. We’ll get performances on tour, I just want ‘an abundance of music’

The Brit Awards have been done wrong for way too long. It's one of her most loyal markets and she's barely done a thing outside of expensive tours. They deserve something big next year.

 

I ate the XO performance up because she looked so good and I was young and starstruck by everything she did, but she can do so much better.

I don't know why, but I've always felt like it was ACT I: Renaissance and ACT II: Rodeo (?) followed by the documentary that tracked the progress of both albums.
