I imagine there a lot more lurkers who aren't as insane as the loudest of her detractors are.

I feel like we were too caught up with the dubai news and didn’t really take the time to appreciate the fact that we got 2 lemonade vault tracks, I really hope more of her recent stuff gets leaked.

 

There was definitely a more dark/somber sounding album that we didn’t see, especially with how Sorry originally sounded. Hope more leaks pour in

Sorry, I know the Dubai conversation seems well passed but I've been on holidays and have just had time to read through all these pages. 

 

I see both sides of the argument, however my main gripe with her decision, is that the Dubai performance looks like it will be the first performance for the Ren tour.  I wouldn't be as pressed if this is something she booked for mid-tour or after the tour. But, the fact she's performing the album live for the first time for the rich and elite of Dubai, rather than for her fans, feels contradictory to what this album is all about. 

Some will say delu, but I don’t foresee Dubai being the “first” reveal from her. I just don’t. 
 

Putting aside the back and forth about optics…
 

She’s obviously in rehearsal mode **now**. So we’re getting new choreo, costumes, era aesthetics etc. We’re on the precipice of seeing who and what Beyonce is as a live performer NOW. And the world WILL see it online. Be it a clip, a pic, a something.
 

These pop girls are about their reveals. So, while I can get my head around this being a show she‘d do, I can’t see a logical scenario where this is how she reintroduces herself to the masses (given the appetite for her worldwide). 

 

If there’s assurances it won’t be filmed at all, then maybe. But because even the highest security scenario can’t guarantee that so I doubt it. 
 

Then again…I thought the same about the latest Tiffany ad. Alas, we got visuals the visuals we actually want.

yes, my main wish is that if she does indeed perform in Dubai before giving us anything else, it will be more of a greatest hit (CIL, Halo, Single Ladies, I Care, Love on Top etc.) type of a setlist and not a Renaissance performance at all. a little break from tour rehearsals to do some songs she's done a million times already for a $24m cheque.

 

as much as I'd love to see Renaissance songs live, I'd hate for their first ever live outing to be at a private event for the resort lords and whichever rich girls are invited. she can throw in Cuff It or something but that's it.
