Random but I just watched TBE for the first time in a while and was scalped so hard. It's difficult to explain just how brilliant of an entertainer she is. She was already outperforming legends at only 25 years old. She was so much more advanced than her peers on every level in terms of talent, stage presence, understanding of music, catalogue, sense of self etc. She's truly in a league of her own :jonny5:

When you watch her old performances, it makes a lot of sense that's she's ready to slow down now, especially physically. She spent years literally giving her all on stage, and that has to take a toll after a while

I honestly think TBE is one of her best tours because it was before her music evolved in many different directions. Every important single made the setlist and horn/instrumental driven uptempos were her bread and butter, so everything came together as a cohesive whole and perfect for her live set-up. The shows were not overproduced and gave her and the band space to shine in the arena (which is superior to stadiums, but stadiums fit more people/make more money).

Also the point at which I began stanning. I recall coming across the live performances on TV + the Bday video anthology.

I think people are looking at 2013 with rose tinted glasses, it was called the Beyhydration for a reason. Being present only becomes a form of trolling when you turn up just to promote your diet or you tease a song you will never release :deadvision:

But the take away is that what we experienced in Summer of 2013 is very different from what followed in December and the months to follow. This era is going to be inherently longer than past. ST/Lemonade had tours which began 2-3months after the albums launched, this tour will begin 1 year after Rennie. Just saying plenty of time for the era to shift and turn perception around.

I’m not. In the end we got ST 2.5 years after 4. It’s been 6 years since Lemonade. The wait was longer and she has given up nothing this era. Big difference.

But do you remember the state of the Beyhive? People were fuming hence it being called Beyhydration... but now we only really think about the slay. I think the same will apply to this era. Again tour doesn't start for another 6months.

Of course I remember it. We didn't understand wtf was going on, but I don't think it can be compared. The Beyhydration was for music, but we were getting so much of Bey herself that it kept us having something.

2013 was really, really bad in different ways. Renaissance and Beyhydration are the exact opposite; in 2013 she was hyper visible, touring, posting so many photos to social media, etc. but with no album in sight. In 2022 we have an album, but she's nowhere to be found.

she really needs to bring back band/back up singer participation. also what makes TBE so satisfying to watch is it's only one (amazing) show, as opposed to a bunch of shows mashed together

You're right, they are opposite. But why did the 2013 situation bother me less? No idea. I guess because back then I never doubted an album was on the horizon. It helped that I graduated high school that year (and my friend was a Hive as well dd) and I had other things to worry about. We hated being in the dark ofc but we weren't exactly bored or ignored either! Or told that patience is a virtue by Michelle Williams on Twitter. :rip: idk, this feels worse imo. I was hyped for an album for all of 2013 and I didn't even know it was coming, whereas I'm not even hyped for the videos anymore even though I'm certain they are. She drained the blood out of this era.

Same over here.

Many think im so negative because I want this personal relationship with Bey. I couldnt care less.

What I expect a "business-savvy" person like Bey to deliver tho is an era that feels on par with who she is, which quite frankly, shes not.

Look at the big industries such as the gaming industry for instance and how they rollout big games - none of them go mia. U see game developpers engaging, u see teasers, u see visibility, u see engagement. Imagining some of these big companies act the way Bey does is almost comical cause its truly that bad.

Theres nothing genius about it - for a Pop star of Beyonce status, the Renaissance era has been bad. Period

She told y'all to focus on the music. Shut up and dance to that disco **** until she says otherwise :cm:

OMG yessss!!!!!

The x10 series was beyond ridiculous

OTR was better cause it was only 2 shows mixed together but still jarring at times, especially during DIL

I hate the switching between the yellow and pink for Homecoming too, good thing I have a rip of the live transmission of the first weekend on my computer, I only watch that one.

If she ever does a concert special again( :rip: ) it needs to be one show and one show only!

I do miss her band. It was another thing that made her stand out.

Beyoncé if you’re in here on your burner, delay the visuals for another year :gaycat5:

I hope she does. And then Act 2 needs to debut outside the Top3. I want to see her lose all her cool and go panic mode like back when TG debuted at #2 and she spammed her insta stories :ahh:

That **** was hilarious!

I mean EIL debuted at no.2 and she did nothing of that sort. TG was a partnership with Disney so she had certain contractual obligations..

if it’s one thing with Beyoncé she does what she wants when she wants. She’s probably reading her kids to bed while y’all are having these meltdowns :deadbanana4:

Nah they quickly changed EIL from a Beyoncé album to “ the carters” so she can keep her record lol. She doesn’t like coming in at #2 for her albums that’s for sure. But it’s most likely going to happen especially with the gp tuning out

That was for EIL. She spammed it with pics of OTR2 :deadbanana4: I also remember they did damage control for the EU leg tanking with her posting a video of the audience leaving the stadium singing Forever Young. Bey might not actively chase success, but she definitely does NOT want to be associated with flopping.

It was always “The Carters.”

Beyoncé

I love how she looks like she's on her way to seduce the security guard lol.

This shot is probably from either Thique or Pure.

I hope The Visual will serve the 2013 slayage with all these dehydration. I don't mind waiting as long as the visual is on Netflix. BIK is basically forgotten due to its accessibility.

The visual will go viral and the album will re-enter the top ten. Single Ladies of 2023 is upon us.

Then she also did it for TG. I remember how she shared 25737 Videos of people dancing to Already and that really low quality pic where half of her face is replace with Nalas :ahh:
