I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

Mine are:

- America has a problem

- Move

- Summer Renaissance

- Heated

Cozy

Move

Pure/Honey

Energy

I'm still not settled on any definitive rankings & I probably won't be until the era is over...it still changes as I become obsessed with more songs. A month ago...this list would've been different. A month from now...it's likely to be different again.

i've moved way beyond thinking about visuals with these songs...i'm hearing live arrangements when i listen to them & new adlibs. i think "Heated" is going to especially be FIRE live and I'm NOT talking about that outro moment. I'm saying the entire song is going to be such a VIBE live...there's a lot of room for Beyonce's musicality to shine there vocally. i also think "Cozy" is going to fire live.

Color me overly optimistic, but I really see Columbia at work with this project.

Because as mute as the frontward facing campaign is, someone somewhere is working the hell out of Cuff It on radio.

Sure, it's a bop and a viral hit etc. But the pacing is giving "too convenient" to be coincidence.

Today at least it did big numbers on radio, Z100 (biggest pop station) all of a sudden have it on some kind of increased rotation, and it's now carefully poised to peak just after Xmas.

Bey is loved, as is the song and album etc. But I think if this was purely by chance, we'd have been seen some of her spot singles or something from TG do similar...or at least...better.

IMO, it's giving carefully worked by Columbia and/or a great radio plugger.

The underlying point? I think there's a concerted push happening whether we see it or not.

:ace:

Aside from the bad streaming numbers, I'm also pissed at the fact that a huge amount of hits by her are not getting regular airplay.

"Check on it" despite having 200M impressions at the time, wasn't getting any airplay at all. The songs that I heard most is "Halo" "Crazy In Love" "If I Were A Boy" and "Irreplaceable". I haven't heard Baby Boy, Naughty Girl, Sweet Dreams in years.

Since it is called the renaissance world tour I really need ACT 2/3 out after tour cause the tour setlist is stuffed as it is rn :ahh:

Renaissance has low-key turned me into a stan:WAP:

she went from like my 50th most played artist to 10th after the album dropped :clap3:

I think there's even an HDD article about the man behind the radio campaign.

EVERY major artist has this - it doesn't diminish the organic or very real success of Cuff It to acknowledge Columbia is pushing it, too.

My wishlist for the tour setlist:

DIL:

The singles

B’Day:

The singles + Freakum Dress/Upgrade U

IASF:

-Single Ladies

-Diva/Everybody Mad

4:

-Love On Top

-Party

-Run The World (Girls)

-End Of Time

Selftitled:

-Blow

-Drunk In Love

Lemonade:

-Formation

-Sorry

-Hold Up

The Gift:

-Find Your Way Back

-Already

-Brown Skin Girl

Renaissance:

-I’m That Girl

-Cozy

-Cuff It

-Church Girl

-Break My Soul

-America Has A Problem

-Virgo’s Groove

-Summer Renaissance

-Heated

-Alien Superstar

-PURE/HONEY

Ofcourse most of them would be shortened version as she always does but I can see this being a cute mashup show like the Formation tour :fan:

how long does renaissance need to stay at #1 on the dance album charts to surpass the fame?

The album also topped Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart; it has stayed at the number-one spot for 175 non-consecutive weeks, as of week of November 5, 2022, and holds the record for the most time on top in the chart's history.

Umm Renaissance album thread got closed?? Why? :skull:

Cause that weird rule of album threads are only open for 3-4 months after they release. :rip:

CUFF IT has a radio push, as does every song sent to radio. This was not planned though. If that TikTok trend did not take place, Church Girl would be the current radio single and we would be even worse off. So let’s not praise Parkwood or Columbia’s decision making skills :rip:

uh huh.. :rip:

All I will say is that the day those Renaissance party pics went live, I saw like 5 influences on my feed use Cuff it in their videos lol.

Something can be organic and then supported/pushed by the label once it's on their radar. I wouldn't be shocked either way. It's kind of their job

Final round of voting for the Grammys begins Dec 14 and ends Jan 4. Now is her time to do something to remind voters that Renaissance exists.
