You really think casuals are throwing Renaissance parties :bibliahh:

I also see a lot of viral tweets with people saying they haven't touched the album so Twitter isn't a good metric to use when measuring success.

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

there has to be a medium on these viewpoints...yall acting like no one knows Renaissance album is out & only Hive is listening to it. whose responsible for driving engagement on viral tweets & challenges and bringing the album back to the Top 10 on itunes every week? it can't be the Hive...it doesn't work like that.

This!

I really really get the frustrations, but what I don't get is the very deliberate bypassing of facts. Factually speaking, the album is far from underperforming, it's actually doing great. BMS = 1 for 2 weeks and a top 10 for 10. All without videos. It's cultural penetration is undeniable too. The songs are ALL over social media. Every day.

I very much believe they missed a deadline and there very well could be drama behind the scenes, but the performance of both BMS and the album are objectively a flex.

The avoidance of that fact screams of an emotional response to not getting what we want on time, which in some ways I get because we love Bey and the album at a deeper than GP level and want her to win. But when people throw objective fact to the side and constantly try to hammer home their opinion as fact in its place...it's weird. Especially doing it every...single...day.

The funny thing is that when she comes through with the visuals all will be forgotten by the ones moaning the loudest. Happens every time.

If people are crying for visuals why would they continue to cry once they get them? I've never seen a fandom get annoyed because fans want their fave to win and have success.

I can understand those who would like some confirmation visuals are otw. She did it with I’m That Girl. Maybe if we got another tease like that to hold ppl over.

The fact that it's a real possibility that there could only be 3-4 music videos and nobody has considered it. :skull: She previewed 20 looks in the ITG teaser and everyone assumed that means there's 16 videos. But those 20 looks could just as easily be from 3-4 music videos. :rip:

Also, as unapologetic Chart Hive, it's quite funny seeing the turn in the tide.

Before BMS, Chart Hive were almost pegged as delusional for having all these wants and needs from the era to see her finesse #1s and sales. The majority of The Hive were giving a "she has nothing left to prove" tea.

The album dropped, BMS snatched #1 and most of the complaints are ironically around her not maximising Ren's commercial prospects (on time).

We all do it as stans (see: switch when convenient), but it's quite funny to observe that more are ultimately Chart Hive (invested in her chart clout) than pre-Ren would have one think.

Much as I want the visuals immediately (and suspect there's a bit of mess bts), I'm pleasantly gagged by how she's doing without them.

This could be a possible concept frfr.

Where each act has 4-5 visuals with some songs from the album blended then turns out to be a full visual.

I doubt I’m That Girl would’ve been 1 of the 4.

I wouldn't be mad at this concept either.

Thank god Lil Nas is promoting her album though :lmao:

I think my stubborn head is really starting to realize (after 10 years) that I need to start treating Bey like I do all the other music artists that I love but don’t “stan.”

I really don’t keep tabs on other people’s video releases or chart positions or promo spots — I just listen to and enjoy their music, catch performances/videos when I come across them on YouTube, and try to see them live when I feel like it.

Maybe the key for me is really just to phase out being a “stan” of Bey because I feel like (for me) stanning often gets in the way of me enjoying her music, and she’s the only artist I have that issue with.

Honestly...its really for the best. Beyonce been saying the same thing and she's put actions behind it for the last 10 years. either people thought it was a joke or they were in denial. i know some ppl thought EIL/TG showed her a lesson but it didn't. This is as intentional as anything else in her career. She's not in the rat race no more...some of the Hive still trying to include her in & she's just not there anymore. this is not the same Beyonce that admittedly used to cancel or cut vacations short to go to the studio or hit up promo spots. the data isn't producing that sense of urgency or anxiety to do something & move anymore like the early years. She's tapped out the game and the white flag is waving. its not excuses...its reality.

Her lyrics says otherwise and this is only one song :skull:

Please, motherfuckers ain't stop–, please, motherfuckers
Please, mother-, please, mother–, please, motherfuckers
*****, please, motherfuckers, please, mother–, please, mother–
Please, motherfuckers, please, mother–, please, motherfu–
Please, motherfuckers ain't stopping mе
Please, motherfuckers ain't stopping me
Please, motherfuckers ain't stopping me
Please, motherfuckers ain't stopping me

I didn’t know “motherfuckers” was uncensored. Meanwhile I been saying “mfs” :dies:

that vocal debate has spilled into my IG feed ?

If Bey is such a non-factor vocally, then why does she constantly get pitted against everyone?

Okay! I don't get it either.

TikTok really having a big impact on Cuff it

I even heard it on the radio here in Australia yesterday. I'd assume because of the strong Shazam numbers.

Her not releasing a second single is a travesty especially for such a feel good song that really encapsulates her message for the album.

But sis, she's not doing anything to rope the casual listener in. Stans are in here discussing the work cause they like it. The numbers show that casual interest is going down cause Bey isn't doing enough to sustain the era.

Some of us make too many excuses for Bey. The GP wants good accessible music and to feel connected to an artist. She did many things right or BETTER than in previous years, but she continues to squander potential. The casual listener may not think as deeply as a stan. But they do like to be engaged. Again, they don't have a song to listen to cause she's pulling her lead from radio after 2 months.

If Bey drops Act II with the same strategy, she will not garner the same level of impact and interest in her music. This theory was tested when she tried it with the Gift and EIL. If you don't put in the effort, no one else will. And they're not going to wait for a late documentary to explain it.

:clap3:

Yall in for a shock when she makes CHURCH GIRL the single.

This is the only scenario where I'd be annoyed with a second single eventuating.  Localyoncé would be back in force.
