I hate to say it, but unfortunantly alot of Baby Hive want to be Bey's friend. She's going to have to open up some if she wants to connect with a younger generation. They are going to carry her music forward. Core Hive is in their late 20's to to 30s. They'll buy the album first week and the tour tickets. But the streaming era needs more. 

 Oprah never had good interviews with her in my opinion-the rapport felt forced  . I feel like she should let one of her fans or maybe even Big Freedia or her mom interview her. Lots of Beyhive on YouTube who would love that opportunity and keep it about her musically-nothing  messy . 
 

Even the legends never went 10 years without a interview. Prince and MJ and Madonna always did interviews when it was time to promote an album. She can’t hide from the public any more. Great works like Renaissance really need the word of mouth and critical acclaim alone isn’t what general public consumes. They need to hear it from the artists mouth.  But girl she can keep it if we hear the same Star Search story again on the next interview chile

It’s a prequel and Nala wouldn’t have been born. She wouldn’t do it again either. 

If she does an interview she should go on the Graham Norton Show with maybe Chris Martin or Chloe and Halle, maybe someone like Shakira or another big name to take off the pressure or do a one on one with Alison Hammond.

Right?! Plus the two mandated red carpet appearances. Good for Disney, getting good use of that $25M they paid her.

Ehh, she wasn’t received well in the first one. In today’s climate, it would be yet another thing to rip her over. It was a nice payday for the little work she had to do, but I think she should pass on it.

@Nippy'sReceipts its not true that they didn't do interviews...MJ famously did not do one for 14 years. Prince interviews became rare after a certain point too.

 

her magazine interviews are as best as it gets...interviews aren't really that important unless there's a viral factor & depending on what that is...it may not be in her favor

Given this great start, having meltdowns over a lack of second single this very second when we know full well the era isn't over seems redundant. Who cares if single 2 is a few weeks late? And even there, it will probably leave the Top5 next week and then plummet even further. 

And ur idea of a hit is so backwards. Its not the 90s anymore.

If u want a hit in the streaming era post album release, u need a HUGE push, especially if ur not the it-popstar anymore.

Current eras by Doja, Dua, Harry and others only managed to get hits post album release because of a severe push from the label, performances, ads, visibility. Bey will do none of that, so pretty much all potential virability is gone now and theres no chance at striking that iron no longer. Its done.

 

And that is exactly the annoying part. U have good will in her execution, while the facts are so different:

- we wont get any type of promo anymore

- the video will come later and no one will care 

- no second/third single will be pushed and if so, its gonna be too late

- no Interviews

- no performances 

 

Then act 2 will be released, shes gonna give u a Magazine spread, some instagram posts, and thats it.

 

She can post "i love u deep" a million times, I dont buy it. She doesnt. And if so, only cause we make her rich. She doesnt care for giving us a true album era experience, to reach us and celebrate with us. 

Theres no heart. Just a machine/robot.

There are songs like Pink + White  with 500m streams on Spotify despite not having any meaningful single treatment and not peaking as high as other "hits" of the same year. If you're still obsessing over charting in the streaming era, you're missing the point. 

 

The second single being pushed will only be "too late" if it doesn't happen within the next month or so. Label cheques is 70% of the effort needed. All promo you speak of far less important. Woman by Doja didn't smash because of some televised performance or interview.

 

 I'll stand by the notion  that if Alien is going to be a hit. It'll be one whether its released today or in 3 weeks time with visuals. Its not all or nothing.

I'm still of the opinion that Beyoncé will put out visuals sometime soon and kick into high gear for a comeback performance. 

 

Based on her recent pictures she's still not in snatched mode yet, and hasn't been in a bit (her candids not her Instagram pics). 

 

Either she's not preparing to get into her era body, or she truly is don't with the era/album already. There's that too.

Woman is not a good example because Doja is the current it-girl who does several insta lives per month, is completely and utterly present, promotes her music, pushes her singles, etc..

I think u cannot possibly stan this woman anyway, shes giving so little as far as fan interaction goes. Being a fan is literally the max u can reach with her.

And im fine either way, I've said numerous times that I adore the album. However I'll take any opportunity in trashing what needs to be trashed, which is her attitude towards engagement, interaction and Promotion. There are entire branches in modern economic Business that focus on gamification and increasing customer experience and such, but apparently thats too much to ask for with Beyoncé, a person who releases a Studio album once in 6 years.

She promoted TG more than Renaissance, let that sink in.
