BB changes tour/merch bundles rules

Yes but as of now weren't bundles like optional to redeem? Like you have to manually choose to redeem the free album you received. Or am I making this up? No one tours here so I wouldn't know tbh lol

I don’t know either never went to a concert

I think the new rule would be the customer has to opt-in + when they do, the price at the checkout is increased as a result.

If the price didn't change, it'd literally be the same as the current rules. You optionally redeem for no further cost currently when it is emailed to you.

When are we banning thong bundles?

Madonna better reinvent

Well shame Madonna never got to 10 #1 albums :emofish:

MDNA really was ahead of it's time tho.

never.. people basically paid extra to get the album :clap3:

To me it is a little nonsensical to focus on tour bundles when nowadays you are getting a digital album with a wristband, a tee shirt or a drink :rip:Ticket bundling at least gives you a (dated) option to check out the music of the act you want to see.

I mean, I assume for those who have big bundles, if the fan is gonna spend $100+ on a ticket anyway, it wouldn't exactly be hard for them to check a box to add $3 for the album or w/e.

It just depends how BB stipulates it. If they're not specific enough, instead of consumers having to opt-in to the bundled album, I can see bundles turning into something like the price you choose for the tickets already has the album factored in and the consumer has to actually choose to opt-out of it (which of course would be as hidden as possible) and if they don't, then they end up paying for the bundle knowingly or not, showing that they "wanted" it and thus it would count. (Kinda here for something like that tbh because it would add some level of transparency and be more accurate but not totally screw over legacy acts.)

She probably wasn't gonna be affected too much by this for Smile since her album comes out before this goes into effect and the fact that she can't really tour anytime soon due corona and lack of demand.

I guess Madame X will be Madge's last #1 album

And Cher couldn't get a #1 album because of Lil Wayne/Logic  :shakeno:  Dancing Queen was her last chance

I would’ve preferred they get rid of it entirely but this is a good compromise :clap3:

They should’ve done this BEFORE the pandemic.

OMG just saw the article, you're right. :skull: Though, it does say they haven't announced when these changes will begin, so maybe she'll be safe for the first week or so.

Nnnn

the ppl who were able to bundle their albums/singles, still won lol

Ed Sheeran is reading this announcement for the 55th time as we speak.
