2015 bieber vs. halsey

649,000 equivalent album units, including 522,000 traditional album sales

115,000 copies, 97,000 of that being album sales

From 18% of bieber's numbers to beating him, wow

Still pretty good

dont know why its compared to Artpop when this is Justin's 4th album and he started 10 years ago

I dislike him, especially now, but c'mon now..

The album was tailor made for streaming. Literally all the tracks are 2 minutes.

He has stadium tour ticket bundles. He has merch bundles.

He has 4 deluxe Target editions.

Yet he's doing less than Halsey and the Backstreet Boys.

This is a bomb.

Wait he did less than Halsey  :deadbanana2:

Poor Halsey had really bad luck with Eminem releasing the same week  :skull:

Less than Halsey with a stadium tour bundle is making me spit a swear out

Not him doing even less than all of the predictions, RUTHLESS :deadbanana4:

I'm so glad that the GP has finally turned their back on his lousy ass :lmao:

How do tour bundles affect album sales?

Is it a combined cost of buying the album + tour ticket? Or do you get the album for free when buying a concert ticket AND it counts for the Billboard 200?

y'all... he actually got his BIGGEST first week ever WW. Purpose did 800k

I’m sure Purpose did more than 800k WW seeing as it did 740k from the US and UK alone

Not Halsey outselling him... This makes me even more mad that she didn't go #1...

And Artpop was a flop as much as Changes was a flop. Yummy was playlisted to 300M people and it got so much Payola on radio that it’s been freefalling since its third week and it’s still top 40. It’s literally breaking negative bullet records. Of course it debuted top 5. It would be defying the laws of physics not to. The amount of money they’re losing trying to shove Bieber down our throats could feed a small country for a month. They might recoup on tour, that is if he doesn’t cancel.

Well tea, it is bad

however the first week numbers aren't

for his situation, ofc! but still pretty good numbers

just like how users dragged Taylor for underperforming with her recent stuff, yet most artists would dream to be that successful (since they were still pretty successful eras)

I mean...arent all albums starting to be tailored towards streaming these days :dies:

also, 230k first week in 2020 is pretty good :toofunny3: whoever u are, it was pretty good if u had that in 2015 lbr

for the GP, the numbers are good

especially when he already has a hit

(also, Halsey is pretty big atm so)

That 740K is SPS and the 863K is pure sales,

Mediatraffic didn’t count SPS when Purpose was released.

That includes pre-album SPS. He certainly won't do 1M on Mediatraffic

True but Taylor underperformed, she definitely didn’t flop. It’s the stark contrast between Purpose era and this that’s shocking. Of course 230K is a lot in today’s market, but not for Bieber.  We’re all saying Tame Impala’s numbers were impressive and they did less than half.

A lot albums are being tailor made for streaming but thankfully not my fave’s :fan: Only 12 songs, most of them the normal length 3/4 minutes (not the 2/3 used now for streaming) and two of them above 6.

Kiii, can’t say I’m shocked considering how bad the album is.
