I believe someone dummied a 2010 rate graphic for me for 2010. The question is, if you have Teenage Dream, Animal AND Cannibal, Pink Friday, and LOUD... do you also add Speak Now? Body Talk? We had this dilemma when we rated them originally!

 

We could also do a redo/new lineup of 2005 and 2015 albums! For anniversaries! More diverse lineups genre wise too. Bring back the (insert year) MAKES THE WOMAN - I don't think the good sis @Vilppu would mind!

Let me run you through my thought process:

 

Body Talk an immediate nah. It doesn't fit with the other girls, it's not in the same radio fodder, low-brow bop category like them. Belongs in a rate with Flesh Tone and something else… maybe the ArchAndroid

 

 

Taylor… also leaning no. Maybe my international view is skewed but Speak Now doesn't feel as era defining as the other girls. She came across more as an album artist / awards darling this era, and that just won't do. Nothing beyond a Kids Choice Award, please!

 

As for what would fit? An extras section with a sprinkling of other artists. These girls ain't worth more than their singles so let's take them and run. This includes big hits (P!nk and her insufferable singles from the Greatest Hits album), big flops (Xtina and the failure-to-launch of Bionic singles), in-betweens (Can't Be Tamed, A Year Without Rain…), and some randoms (Like A G6 was a Billboard Hot 100 #1!).

 

And maybe I'd give out multiple 0's to voters, seeing as that's what the quality deserves.

And IIRC Robyn kind of dominated, another point in my case that she's a different breed to the others!

 

Think the 2010 rate was before my time on here but the concept of DOMO and Enchanted going up against Grow a Pear and Did It On'em is so

Speak Now isn't pure pop enough and wouldn't fit in with the other albums

Yes Florence in 2015 makes much more sense than Meghan with all those other albums. Every Meghan song would leave before anything else.
