Whenever I mention liking her or listening to her to random people IRL or online, I often get a reaction of "She's the devil" or "She's evil". I'm not sure how serious they are when they say that.

• Her story is too 'boring'. She is so successful, so talented, so beautiful. But her story is essentially: I'm very talented, and pretty but I also worked really hard. People find that hard to process. As a result, they start to look for other answers.

• She never explains herself, or feeds into her public narrative. I think people find that frustrating. They want ownership over her in some form. They want to break her, control her, and have ownership of her 'comeback'. The media and public do that all the time. She is inaccessible, but present. It annoys people lol.

The untouchable Goddess backlash has always been rooted in misogyny where women are expected to be humble. Michael Jackson, Prince, Messi, Ronaldo, Pre-cancelled Kanye, were all placed on God level pedestal and I don't see the public complain.

Even the so-called relatability and fan interactions, it's usually expected from MPGs while the men get a pass at living a private life if they want..
