Do you work with your hands?

Featured Replies

I read an article recently that said doing creative activities or hobbies that include using your hands can help reduce anxiety and put your brain into a flow state. My anxiety has been on a 10 the last month, so I'm whipping out the old sewing machine and knitting needles and getting to work. Let me know if anyone would like a bag.

But curious, if anyone also does find comfort in any hobbies involving their hands. Share, and handjobs are not included.

Just remember to use them for good such as uplifting your fellow members and dragging Taylor Swift.

Yes, I draw/paint and make jewellery and I find it very relaxing. I can tell when I haven't had the time to do them in a while.

why handjobs dont count? I do feel relaxed and reached flow state each time I do that

I masturbate using my hands?! Does that counts?

you masturbate using your hands? wtf that's disgusting. I bet you go and cook a big feast without washing them as well. Pervert!

That's so cool that you can sew and knit, OP! I tried learning to knit a couple of months ago but I have to confess, after like 15 small rows, my little project just turned into a knot fest and became more narrow and narrow and narrow... Then my lack of frustration tolerance kicked in. I should give it another go! I've heard so much about knitting being a very calming thing to do.

Not really I get so stressed I can't even move my hands. So all I do is constantly make charts it's only thing that eases my anxiety maybe I should try Hobby's like that again maybe even making brackets for BTS concert next year. I haven't tried it yet but hoping that would help..

Give it another try! Your first attempt will be a mess and a struggle. Just knit back and forth following a little guide, rows and rows until it starts to feel familiar. All you need to learn is how to knit a row and purl a row. And as soon as you get the hang of it you can make a scarf, a beanie, socks! Promise.
