Stone Cold would have been a classic

Featured Replies

Released as a third single from one of Demi most succesful eras "Confident", Stone Cold really screamed classic at talent shows, weddings, AC radios and all that ****. It was one of the most recognizable songs when the album came out but when it was released as a single it seemed like Island Records was promoting it on various TV shows like Ellen, late shows, American Idol and even iHeart Radio Music Awards along with an A-list country singer and even a carpool karaoke. What happened? Why the GP rejected it instantly as when it was released a single? Was this her Adore You? Was the MV?

was it really rejected? I remember it being quite popular and an excellent adele cosplay (complimentary)

My spanish teacher would always play this version in class

this song was a flop on paper but it was a hit in actuality to me, i heard it everywhere and at the time i didnt even care for demi like that. definitely a song people are gonna be surprised did not chart at all in the future but that's because every label and team demi has ever had paid them absolute dust, marketed them wrong, and did not send their songs to radio and when they did it was always after the song had peaked in sales or streams

I loooove Demi, but I've always found this song's melody to be so annoying, and it's one of the only tracks of her where I agree she's 'overusing' her voice to the point it hurts the emotion she's trying to convey. She has better power ballads!

I feel like this song was very well received at the time, it just seems like Island didn't handle this era well at all chart wise, but the numbers are definitely there for the three singles that were released.

I think it has been covered enough in talent shows and karaoke that it has its place

I'LL TAKE THE PAA-IN, GIVE ME THE TRUUU-UUUTH

ME AND MY HEAAART, WE'LL MAKE IT THROO-UU-GHH

too much screaming but it did the thing. it was performed on talent shows, accrued decent streams and all that. it's in her spotify top 10.

It's definitely a hit despite a very low chart peak. Its streams are impressive and it was performed on a lot of talent shows. That being said as a Lovatic I never liked this song, the vocals are too much and lyrics like "I'm staring at my phone" are too basic for a song that's supposed to pack a punch emotionally
