Karol G somehow always stays here. Can you stand it?
She has a huge presence in the US being able to sell out stadiums. As much as Latinamericans enjoy saying latinos born in the US aren't real latinos. It makes sense you'd hear more about Shakira though since she had english crossover success for multiple eras and is a bigger celebrity because of that in the West.

Katy Perry reflects on TD success, can't recall single that tied MJ's record
How dense are you? Like stan, like fave I guess. No one is saying it's a bad strategy, and yes, they are tactics that are frequently used by record labels, but the argument that she did it all solo is untrue and it's thanks to the remixes that they were pushed to the #1 spot. Without that Missy remix, LFN wouldn't have had the sales to go #1 and that was a huge point of discussion back then.

Katy Perry reflects on TD success, can't recall single that tied MJ's record
Context still matters because the main reason she was able to tie this record was due to them releasing these remixes and having the itunes sales propel them to #1. In addition to releasing the deluxe version 2 years later with PoM and Wide Awake to extend its chart run. Every song was a smash hit though, there's no denying that. And arguably, these hits have stood the test of time much more than half of MJ's singles from Bad.

Why is Stella Lefty being pushed so hard?
The fact that you put a song for a film that famously fired someone for simply being pro-palestinian and questioning the "famous Jewish person from LA" only highlights how connected these rich pricks in West LA are. Hopefully she's a one-hit wonder, she's just as bland as the rest of these religious nepo-babies living in Pico-Robertson and Beverly Hills.

Rupert Grint to join Broadway cast of 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'
I have conflicting feelings over this. On one hand, I wanna say how awful that some of these people are continuing to line up Rowling's pockets given how awful she has become (or has always been idk), but at the same time this is also their work and legacy and it's a shame that these actors can't also openly celebrate that without being criticized.

CD's don't take months to press, it's vinyls that do. Since vinyl sales have overtaken CD sales and for charting purposes, record labels need all physical media to come out at the same time. It's annoying, but I get why it's in their best interest.

I think 2-3 weeks prior for CD's was correct - I also remember Gaga doing a similar thing back for Born This Way, she had less than a month to go and was still recording. Vinyl records are the ones that take longest because of the lack of vinyl plants.
