Both had a dark phase in their life and created Blackout and Rated R and then to win back the general public they put out Circus and Loud. Which duo do you prefer?

Ah ****… I like blackout and loud of these four so I'm torn. I guess Rihanna by a very slim margin.

Blackout is one of the top five best albums ever released, so Blackout/Circus by default.

Rated R is still a fantastic album, and probably my favourite Rihanna album.

Rated R and Loud if I'm being 100% honest

dgmw, love the other two! but idk... Rihanna really won me as a fan for life with the brutal honesty of Rated R followed by a reup of vibrant passionate red and excitingly powerful pop with Loud giraffe like 12-13 year old me was LIVING for that sh*t. how did she make Loud still feel so authentic when it's like the artistic antithesis of Rated R? who knows, but she most certainly pulled it off clap3

Rated R is absolutely my favorite of these album, though my second is Circus. But I prefer Loud to Blackout, so I guess I'd choose Rated R and Loud.

I replayed these albums to death but I'm going with Rihanna because Te Amo, Cold Case Love and The Last Song are on another level. Same with Skin.

Can't think of another album that ends as perfectly as Rated R.

Shattered Glass and Kill The Lights take this for Britney, I fear... clapThose DIAMOND-CERTIFIED (in my home) smashes! I always thought Womanizer was a weak single, but Circus has the strongest "filler" tracks of Britney's career

Lol when I discovered Circus as a kid I burned most of the album onto a CD bc too scared to ask my parents for a real copy (gay allegation's) skull and then I'd literally put that same CD on whenever friends came over and we'd have it blasting through the playroom speakers. All while we acted out the most random scenarios. We loved pretending to be flight attendants nnnnn.

I took that "there are only two types of people in the world" speech VERY seriously! gaylorcat1 BRitney made me believe I was born a showgirl!

Even took that CD to school couple times and somehow got it played in the gym during lunch break. Jai Ho by the Pussycat Dolls was on there too dies

It still amazes how easy it was to rip songs and burn them on CDs deadbanana2

BO/Circus wins bc soundtrack to my childhood

Circus was the start of the conservatorship and sadly I can't divorce that from the context of the album (Unusual You is her best song though)

Rihanna wins

Britney takes this one by a very slim margin. Blackout is just too good.

Blackout is in the top 10 best pop albums of all time by the girls, while RR/LOUD are in the outer ends of the top 200? Circus was lackluster, but Blackout's greatness and impact is enough to carry for both of them.

LOUD and Rated R were cheap, inauthentic attempts to recreate what Britney did with Blackout and Circus. If you're picking the uninspired copies over the vastly superior originals, you might need to check your taste.

Insane level of delusion. Rated R is Rihanna's most introspective album and Loud has Rihanna's fearless/sassy persona all over it. To call these albums inauthentic is crazy. Loud being a copy of Circus (first time hearing this) when the album has a bunch of Caribbean-pop tracks and Rated R being a copy of Blackout when there's not a single dance-pop/upbeat song on it...😭

I hate pitting legends against each other, but Godney did THAT with Gimme More, Piece of me, Break the Ice - 1, 2, 3 PUNCH .and the album continues to deliver throughout with Heaven on Earth and Why Should I be Sad? Then Circus has Womanizer, Circus, **** Me, another 1,2,3. she's TEW much. her next single '3 after that, another #1'. a *****. love it.

RIhallah had Rude Boy, Only Girl, Who that Chick, Man Down, etc. a formidable opponent, and completely deserving of this comparison. clap3

Blackout & Rated R are so good. Guess im more into the dark pop

but every Rihanna album is better then any pop girl album (well for what I enjoy so of course gonna vote riri though those are my top 3 britney spears albums along with Glory

only the first 4 tracks on blackout are good and then circus is all very weak.
