Emily and Lexie are amazing, but I'm really not sure about the general direction of the group, especially after all the effort to promote in Japan (?)

It would have worked much better with a bubblegum concept like Wannabe…

Still, things could change considering how different the final tracks from Dream Academy are compared to KATSEYE's direction.

Saint Satine? they couldn't come up with something any less memorable? Also, Hybe LOVES underage girls in their groups, don't they...when Ayana was right there.

why wasnt it just one of the girls that previous tried out. This is for sure a set up and just a reason for the label to host multiple events

The ratio over Sakura debuting is something I have never seen and I have been supporting Ayana(and Rira) since day one

Lol Manon at least had fans. There are 10k tweets complaining about Sakura's debut. If the show was supposed to be Sakura's best edit I doubt she is going to be received well post debut

Notice how most of the US judges are pushing for Ayana, I feel Geffen was rooting for Ayana but HYBE/son chose Sakura. HYBE was not expecting the reaction to Sakura to be this intense

One more thing Sakura is not only young she comes from a poor countryside family who do not have the saavy to advocate for her. Unlike the members of most Katseye who were rich and had industry saavy

This! They had so many viable candidates and yet they chose the worst possible fit by talent, age, and cohesion with the group. It's obvious they wanted someone young, vulnerable and easy to exploit, but they have the nerve to claim she has star quality, when the other contestants were outshining her with ease.

also, your reminder that everyone DESPISED the name KATSEYE when it was announced...along with IllIT and LE SSERAFIM...Hybe really likes to name their GGʻs weird things

I believe Sakura was chosen because of the japanese idol idea, that they don't have to be great from the get go, but they need to have potential and grow as the time goes, however this idol point only makes sense for the japanese market, and also with a brand new group when everyone is kinda at the same level.

Sakura doesn't even look good with the rest of the girls, and her not having enough lines for her own song is just a kii. I guess they wanted some controversy so people could talk about the group, and maybe make the girl train for 24h/7days a week, so when they debut they have her doing a 180º and being actually ready.

You can't even compare her to Manon. You could see from the get go that Manon was locked, even from a still image you would think she's the main girl without even listening to her.

Both Prelude and Saint Satine are bad names anyway.

I love the group name. Not sure why yall are so against it.

I wasn't keeping up with the show to speak on who they picked as the 4th member, but the age difference between her and the other three is a bit of a mess.

tbh the whole thing feels a little messy. They have an uphill battle with being the sloppy seconds from Katseye, Samara's political views, and now this. Curious to see what direction their sound and visuals go tho
