Why are people still expecting a full album?

I'm excited even tho the date is veeeery far. Pinky up is still in heavy rotation over here.

I mean there's kpop groups doing this all the time where one member is absent during an entire promotion cycle and whatnot, but at least they are pretty transparent about what's happening and we don't see this much secrecy. Right now HYBE is handling this as if Manon and the girls hate each other and she's never coming back.

Jessica was an INTEGRAL part of Snsd's vocal dynamics. Her leaving actually affected the group in more ways than we admit let's be real. Of course we had Seohyun, Sunny and Tiffany to carry her vocal parts, but that Taeyeon-Jessica duo flavor was no more. Manon is not exactly the same and I don't think her leaving would actually affect the group's output that much, but its still unfortunate because she was there and putting in the work.

Why are we not releasing an album ?

If Pinky Up is the Gnarly — the next single will for sure be more serviceable for radio like Gabriela was and will get the biggest push of the new era. Probably to be released in June.

I also imagine they're releasing in August to build up 4 months of presales so they can get their biggest opening week sales and debut #1 on Billboard 200 during a usually more 'quieter' release window

I'm sure something more radio friendly will be included, but since the project is being called "WILD" I kinda expect something spicier than Gabriela...

August for a 5 track EP is crazy though.

Also, to tour they need a bigger catalog. They barely have enough songs to fill a setlist. I still can't believe they seriously performed the Monster High theme song and Flame on their last tour... the Dream Academy tracks in itself...

Considering Pinky Up is 2 minute, this EP is gonna be roughly 10 minutes

What a weird and disrespectful way to imply Manon isn't returning.

It's not hard to say "we are working through Manon's hiatus".

Some of y'all act like every new artist has a catalog of 20 songs from the get go to go on tour, when even if they had a full album, it wouldn't be longer than 10 to 12 tracks anyway.

They had their first tour with one year and a half of their career. Olivia's first tour had like 12 songs and some covers.
