If you look at every other song around it, it's performing pretty comparable updates wise. Choosin Texas fell 50k from Monday to Tuesday in the US. So did Baby Doll. No one is really gaining substantially. Even that Noah Kahn song at #2 only gained like 10k

It's still taking some pretty big hits day-to-day when it should've already found its floor by now. There's no reason for this song to be dropping as sharply as it is 12 days in.

True. At least its AM performance is decent. She's still at #7 and holding. She's not gaining that much on radio and only gained .07 million

my local radio stations seem to be dragging their feet on this. I rarely hear it

So the song is stabilizing at 4.5-5 mio streams. A true "flop"

Radio might be slow to pick it up because Olivia's last 4 radio singles received terrible callout scores. Usually, radio stations use an artists recent track record to encourage them to spin a new song. Until the artist gets an undeniable smash, it's hard for radio stations to want to play a new song from an artist who's had bad radio reception. Same thing happened to Taylor after Reputation/Lover where she didn't recover until Anti Hero, and Billie after HTE when she didn't recover until the Barbie song

This will probably fine in the long run but I hope this doesn't scare her out of releasing uptempo singles

The promo for this song and era is so cute I feel bad that it's not being the most accepted :/ hopefully it will grow on people post-album release a la Deja Vu

Also I hope they don't get scared and rush another single. Another tank could ruin this album's performance

it happens to me sometimes too, when i don't know the artist, start bopping and then i found out it was American Girls by Harry Styles.

Looks like Olivia is announcing the tour very soon. It's an arena tour with some stadiums maybe?

Haven't streamed this since release day. Vampire was an instant love for me but this song has a certain ''childish'' quality (for a lack of a better term) that just doesn't immediately grab me. Maybe it'll work better in the context of the whole album.

It's too early to be worrying about whether it's smashing hard enough. It's only been out for 1.5 weeks.

Of course they're not done? The song has been out for 2 weeks. It's doing fine. Why not promote your lead single that's doing well

The song is stable but it's kinda surprising to find out that TikTok doesn't have that much relevancy anymore when it comes to hits. Drop Dead is approaching 1 million posts by Sunday, which is bigger than any GUTS song and almost on par with SOUR's biggest songs, but there hasn't been an increase on Spotify at all this week. Oh well
