Taylor is promoting her second single. It's time, Ophelia is finally winding down in the states. Because of her release strategy of no pre-release singles, Opalite has already chewed through a lot of momentum. She couldn't wait. Her team probably saw this week as the best opportunity because of Harry and Bruno's release weeks. Bad Bunny's boost is MUCH bigger than anyone was expecting. He has no airplay. No one was even saying he'd be in contention for number 1 before the Grammys. She isn't trying to prove a point or screw him over. People don't make these decisions on a whim. The date was clearly selected weeks and weeks ago. Things changed unexpectedly and now there's more competition than the Harry and Bruno weeks. No one was anticipating that.

Bad Bunny absolutely deserves his number 1 and he will get it. Taylor will repeak and shoot new life into her second single that is literally bigger than 90% of 2020s pop girl solo lead singles. She may even notch two top 10 solo year-end smashes. Everyone wins.
