I may be wrong, but the negative reception has only come from gays from forums LOL. Music experts praised the ICGUTT.

Anyway, I hope this final version is not as repetitive as the demo. Plus, the sample is a highlight for me! I'm shocked by the surprise of it since it is in the live version.

Not even negative reception per se, just like ... Lukewarm? Like there's no denying this is not a knockout start to the era, even if I quite enjoy the song

OT: I haven't heard the final version, but just the original demo that leaked, but that drop was sooo much better; like a greater build up (and then release) in the outro. I really hope the background vocals are LOUD and all the harmonies come through in the final.

I do think Ride is a fantastic bridge between WYP? and T!FG! tbh - a similar feel/territory of WYP?'s soundscape, but campy still and more soulful singing like T!FG!

The last thing I'm thinking is how much of a stark difference there is between the more electronic songs (like Ride) vs. the more organic ones (like ICGUTT). I didn't think she was gonna try blending it all onto one album TBH, so I'll be curious to see how it all flows in the final track listing.

See I think this sounds way more finished and full than the demo, and the drop still sounds as good to me.

Yeah that's after the bridge, so I think it's building up to it here too but the snippet cuts off just as she's in the bridge.
