Let's be honest for a second.
Both are humongous, critically praised, and treated like untouchable pop gods; but at some point success starts doing the heavy lifting for the music.

One gives us incredible performed throwback cosplay that Reddit dads, Discord brats and award shows eat up every single time.
The other mastered the art of aesthetic melancholy, vibes, and playlist domination, but has been remixing the same mood for a decade now, always playing it safe.
Neither is bad. Both are talented.
But which one is more over-praised/over-rated relative to what they actually deliver?

They're not overhyped, easily 2 of the best postars we got. But if I had to pick I would say Bruno, since he's the one who evolved less as a musician. On the other side he's a better performer

Bruno. He makes the same song over and over. No wonder the DWAS worked so well.

The Weeknd has some edge to him and tries different things.

The Weeknd is not overrated, he's super talented and has great music, visuals and live performances. I don't care for Bruno's music but you can't deny he has an amazing voice.
