If he enjoys the sex why break up? If so he's bi.

But if he can't get it up I can see how humiliating and torturous it must be for him. Platonic love isn't enough for marriage unless it's lavender or asexual.

There comes a point in life where a new challenge is simply not worth it anymore. He'll regret it so much for sure. Especially like I said if he can have a sex life with his wife.

Unless he has to imagine a man while having sex with her there's absolutely no reason for him to break up.

Also breaking up would be incredibly selfish after 20 years. I don't have any sympathy for anyone ruining their long time marriage to "freely be themselves". At that point f*** freedom and f*** therapy, what about the wife's mental? The guilt tripping by these people is crazy too, that's why I have zero sympathy for them.

Breaking up must be absolute last resort in his case.
