I'm sorry but it's incredibly traumatizing for women to get into a commited relationship with a closeted gay man, let alone having a long term marriage.

Expecting women to be cheerleaders for their husbands discovering their sexuality is bonkers.

If he enjoys the sex why break up? If so he's bi.

But if he can't get it up I can see how humiliating and torturous it must be for him. Platonic love isn't enough for marriage unless it's lavender or asexual.

There comes a point in life where a new challenge is simply not worth it anymore. He'll regret it so much for sure. Especially like I said if he can have a sex life with his wife.

Unless he has to imagine a man while having sex with her there's absolutely no reason for him to break up.

Also breaking up would be incredibly selfish after 20 years. I don't have any sympathy for anyone ruining their long time marriage to "freely be themselves". At that point f*** freedom and f*** therapy, what about the wife's mental? The guilt tripping by these people is crazy too, that's why I have zero sympathy for them.

Breaking up must be absolute last resort in his case.

well he wrote "We have challenges finding time for sex and dating due to life things but we make it work. All in all, pretty solid"

so i guess he can still get it up

At some point in marriage people stop having sex altogether anyway so he's being such a repressed brat. He might as well sleep around after the wife enters menopause.

I mean that's not a bad advice. He should get it out of his system or at least figure out his sexuality before ruining his marriage.

So many men cheat on their wives as a part of their work routine. michael

He can't be so sanctimonious on cheating but ruining a whole 20 years of marriage over discovering himself deadbanana2

That's traumatizing for anyone in the receiving end btw, I'm not singling out gay men.

I'm not that against cheating with escorts in long term marriages. Just be careful to not project it into the relationship and most importantly the sexual health.

Women's sexuality is different than men's. A woman cheating signifies different things. Women do enjoy casual sex but they don't find instant gratification in cheating like men do. The only acceptable scenario is if the woman is a girlboss who travels for work.

I hate cheating don't get me wrong, the only acceptable scenario is as I said is apart of the work routine. Some professions are notorious for cheating for this reason foxaylove2

Married 45 year old man wants to leave his wife of 20 years that he still loves and has sex with, because he's determined through therapy that he's gay.

what would you do? I low-key want to comment that he should just stay with his wife. especially if he still loves her and has a sex life with her. what does he expect to find in the gay community?

thoughts?

The plot of Grace and Frankie is crazy for this reason.

It's mind programming for women to just accept s*** from men and to be further emotional laborers.

I'm not against women's freedom to cheat either. Honestly if men cheat so should women. It's just that women themselves don't cheat for the same reasons as men do deadbanana

I'm just making observations.

So don't take my opinion for being against women's promiscuity.

Also, anyone bears the right to not forgive a cheater no matter the motive. Don't take it as me implying anyone should stomach cheaters.

I'm for non-traditional relationships so consider that when reading my opinion gaycat5

Anyone who is now ridiculing open relationships and polycules etc when the pendulum swung back to conservatism never had their heart in it anyway.

NO ONE'S FUN ANYMORE!!!!! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO FUN!!!!!!

So many people postured as progressives but p*ssied out the moment mainstream narrative swung back to traditional values. Like in the case of Taylor and The Life of a Showgirl... UGHHHHH!!!!!
