OT:

Overcompensating is somewhat interesting but him playing himself ruined it a bit. He doesn't even have a young babyface to pull it off unlike Miles in Boots. 7

Boots is great but honestly hated that ending, internalized homophobia is interesting but reads like a military propaganda to me, doing all that and still wants to stay closeted just because you found a military family? Rubs me the wrong way. 9

HR is 10/10 so far, well balanced character study, doesn't afraid to be what it wants to be without being corny.

Why tho? They can use this publicity to book more shows, it's a great stepping stone for many of them.

HR > Boots > Overcompensating

HR knows what kind of show it is and is leaning into that. I don't have any complaints so far (besides the lighting but they fixed it)

Boots has somewhat of an interesting story and some fan service, but I wasn't a fan of the ending/military propaganda.

Overcompensating had a lame ending (way too much edging the audience for nothing) and Benito looked so old. To top it off, Adults came out around the same time and was better.

Turned off Heated Rivalry after 20 min it was so bad

And I read the book

Only watched Boots so far but Max Parker was Emmy worthy and it's hard to imagine anyone in the other shows matching the level of his work.

So true. I feel like it was the only show that really encapsulated the gay lifestyle (flaws and not).

It was also quite educational to watch as a baby gay
