TBH that's the risk of movie soundtrack songs altogether. Nevermind the promotion, the songs themselves are manufactured to fit a certain part of the movie and for mass appeal. It just waters everything down and for a creative force like Gaga, it's even more obvious.

Mayhem's lyrics are very good. How are you going to claim the lyrics for the songs are bad? Even Abracadabra may sound like gibberish for the average listener but its lyrics are very well-written as well.

The only song I could sort of get that "bad" vibe from is HBDUWM but only a little. I'd say every song is at least decently written.

Despite it not being super positively received (and her not really sharing equal parts on the song) I do love that we got a Gaga song again where she's doing her fun little ARTPOP era rap You can tell she had fun on this song

I still maintain that Shape of a Woman is going to surprise in the quality department. Liddos who keep claiming SOAW is disco are full of it because the snippet has guitars, so there might be something to this insider.
