We don't know it's a proper MV tbh. I know I'm fully expecting essentially an extended movie trailer.

To be fair, she hasn't even posted a single TikTok herself, it didn't get a radio deal, and her team didn't even put it on either her Facebook or website. It's definitely being treated like a side project (which it is, anyway.)

This was literally the least promoted Gaga release this decade, if we exclude the jazz releases. She just dropped it with 0 teasing and I feel like it did similar in playlisting to Happy Mistake.

They dropped the song this week because it was already featured in the trailer and ads for trailers augment the spend the closer to the release week. It's a song for the trailer, basically. It doesn't make sense to drop Shape of a Woman beforehand if the footage attached to it is plot relevant to the movie and they didn't film any supporting visuals for any of the songs.
