I may talk trash about ChroMAGA but Replay is literally one of her best songs ever idc idc, the best song on the album and the Dorian Electra Remix is the best remix on that album, literally a masterpiece

Replay is the actual Chrome lead single that got away. Lowkey would've been an instant classic.

Severe Trigger Warning

Real Liddos remember the thought of a #3 debut but then subsequently were haunted by it after SL tanked on pure sales & ended up debuting at #5. But if that turd did ~250 points, it's almost certain Replay would've debuted at #2.

Imagine this rollout:

• Replay lead single - Feb 2020

• ROM 2nd single - week before album

• Alice promo single with MV - album week

• 911 MV - Sept 2020

• Sour Candy animated MV - Dec 2020

Besides NOT being a fully leaked song, Replay as the lead would've unified the base & been seen as "the rah rah ***** is back" (one of her most viral memes back then esp with ERL photoshoot). Let's just hope the hypothetical shot on iPhone MV attempt was just Gar rolling around in a shallow grave or something because simplicity was key for that level of mess.

Replay also would've established a stronger starting off point for the album narrative (being haunted by past trauma after falling down the rabbit hole of depression but dancing through the pain). Anyway, no notes on ROM release. Pure joy & celebration — Gaga made it through her depression spell (not really tho). Next they should've had a cute simple Alice MV ready to go with the album drop giving some insight as to where the Chromatica journey actually begins, again enforcing album narrative. No notes on 911 release either (eXCEPT LICENSING IT CORRECTLY SO VIEWS COUNTED FOR THE CHARTS INSTEAD OF AN INELIGIBLE INTERLUDE). Then to wrap up the era they should've hired an animator to make Gar & the BP girls cyberpunk themed anime as something sweet for the f*cking kids. The era was so phoned in, what difference would it have made? Also animated MVs were a huge trend in general due to the obvious. That would've been a SMASH era & a fun experience, even with promo cancelled due to COVID. Chrome era was purely an example of Gar not giving a f*ck & her team doing the bare minimum. Thank goodness Michael cleaned Haus bc MAYHEM has been stellar & I have a feeling LG8 will be too.

The only problem with Replay being the Chromebook lead is that the song wasn't finished by the time Stupid Love came out. It was the last song made for the album iirc. It or Alice would've stomped as lead options though.

Replay is really overrated by this fanbase. Fun Tonight outsold.
