I'm guessing that the Harlequin Special was the final push. Maybe Abra being super high up on Spotify's NYE playlist will help give some final exposure, but not enough to meaningfully shift any race. The good thing is that neither of the other front runners (Kendrick and Bad Bunny) had massive Grammy campaigns, so I think Gaga did just enough to put her name out there but not too much for it to be a potential turnoff. Regardless of what ends up happening at the Grammys, I think she and her team can rest assured that they ran a pretty good campaign.

Yeah.

I was hoping for a RIAA update, but I guess it's unlikely now. Shallow going Diamond, DWAS 8x Platinum and Abracadabra 2x Platinum could at least make some noise on social media.

I think Harlequin was the final push. She'll likely have the next three weeks off resting with family before she goes back on tour.

If they didn't do the RIAA update here, then I think they're saving it for when The Fame goes Diamond. It's at 9x platinum and moved over 500k units in the US last year so it'll likely hit that eligibility sometime next year or in 2027.

YT is beyond dead unless you get a viral moment like Abra (or a megahit like DWAS.) I'm sure Gaga picked YT since it's accessible for a gift to the fans, but a release on a streaming platform elsewhere would've gotten it much more traction.
