She will never do that. They firmly believe in not giving these people an inch, and I actually admire that.

Although Jay doing an interview with someone he trusts wouldn't be the worst idea. He is smart and charming, and if he had the room to explain why these accusations are absurd, it would lower the temperature. Why tf would Jay 1996 be invited to Weinstein and Epstein parties?

I never got "bad" vibes from Jay. Ever.

Sure, him cheating was bad, but I genuinely believe its almost impossible to keep a monogamous relationship in Hollywood. Other than that, hes always been respectful towards Bey, hes always been funny and nice in interviews, hes always been super present as a father and husband, hes always treated his collagues with respect. He, to me, doesnt not give the same energy like Kanye or Diddy or so.

I genuinely feel like Jay is becoming perceived as almost "too" powerful with moves like the NFL etc. Even to other POC's, who have been indoctrinated into feeling/believing that those in "charge" should look a certain way (e.g., grey haired caucausian men). There is a very weird duality with Jay (and some others) where it's this "he made it and is the ultimate goal" praise that is equally mixed with "he's too big for his boots and needs to be taken down".

I'm very pro-Accountability Culture, but Cancel Culture, when you don't even know why you're attempting to cancel, is WILD (and sick).

Separately, I've been willing her to wrap up this trilogy ASAP.

It's absolutely epic and will for sure be a career-defining run when looked back on in hindsight. But I really feel it's been limiting her additional output in real-time.

Since 2022, she/we have been stuck in a loop of whatever sonic cycle she's in at that point. And rigidly so. Whether Dance or Country, note that there have been no "quick lil singles", remixes, strategic collabs, soundtrack songs or videos, or anything outside of the strict run of releases we have had during this rollout.

I really see this loosening and returning to some kind of normal or even a new normal after.

She'll be free to do more side projects (not EIL II, pls, but similar projects of this ilk) and other things.

If anything i see her taking a lot of time before B10, but filling in said time with spot things that keep her visible and musically active.

Every so often i think it benefits top-tier acts like Bey to take a breather and assess the landscape and adapt. The industry moves at lightning speed, so taking a break while still dropping things that have minimal risk (remixes, collabs, soundtrack songs, experimental projects) would be smart.

Conjecture on my part, perhaps, but I have a hunch that she's totally switched up her recording practices around family etc. Feels like she is effectively recording and banking material until the optimal time to release.

Like, didn't we hear - in the gap between Rennie and CC - that she met with Afrobeats producers in London? Who's to know if that's B10? The Lion King 3? Something totally left?

To think she's dropping albums 2, 3 years after recording them, is very different from the way she's articulated recording projects like B'Day (weeks of recording and months before releasing).

It probably suits her work-life balance and allows for a degree of meticulous planning that ensures she can map out everything else around the music to a tee (i.e., tours, endorsements, etc).

I think this seems reasonable for her, I mean she's always recording, and these albums have been going for a while now, with at least 2 of them being mostly finished during the lockdown.

My thing is a lot of non famous people hang out and work with people who they might not even know are rapist weirdos. I don't like the guilty by association thing because a smart businessman is not going to tell their colleague that they are rapist pedos unless they feel like the colleague is just like them. I don't think just because Bey and Jay z were at Diddy parties and events mean he was telling them his crimes nor them participating in his sexual assault against other people. They say birds flock together but that's not always the case. Also a shady Businessman is completely different from being a pedo and brutal racist.

Yeah, I think after the Hamptons writing camp for ST, she stopped doing those intense sessions for albums. And instead moved to a more rolling approach to always listening to stuff, taking demos, recording. Lemonade, Rennie, and CC are all products of that approach which is why you see songs from ST era (Thique) popping up a decade later, or even beyond that with Ya Ya which was originally a demo for 4.

I don't think she starts out specifically trying to record any particular genre, she just records and the album starts to present itself. We know at a certain point she sent out her A&R to scout for country tracks, but I think that's probably after songs like 16 Carriages and Bodyguard had already come together.

In a non threatening way I really want to lock Bey away in a room for 12 hours and make her answer all of these geeky questions about how she records, where songs started, how long she's had them
