My mom passed away last week. I know I mentioned her wanting to hear a Beyonce rock album as she has anticipated it for years, and I'm so sad she didn't get to hear it before she passed (if that's wha

CONTROL in 2029 next please jonny5

When I think of it, the I Am... side could have a cute Adele collab like she did with Maluma on B'Day. Maybe one of the unreleased tracks or one of the leaked ones. Desperate Housewives clips on TikTok would get a new background song if you know what I mean

@iamtour2009 tell her to remaster IASF please

The fact she included a song from 2003 and 2013 makes me think that anniversary editions for her other albums are less likely.

Unless she puts unreleased tracked from B'Day as a bonus on the anniversary edition of ST

Actually that's the sort of nonsensical thing she's definitely going to do

She don't like that album tho

Her post-IASF albums don't need to be remastered though. B'Day was the exception all along due to its mixing.

People will buy anything truly

It'll be sold out by end of day honestly. This is why she continues to do the things she does. A cult, truly.

Thats the level of standom that would honestly freak me out if i found out in a date nnn unless hes just so filthy rich that this is just pennies to him, then we can obviously talk

I have a theory.

Given that marketing 101 is that you can't oversaturate the same audience in a limited window (the likes of Taylor Swift being the exception to the rule), I get the sense that Bey is purposefully going OTT with the cost point of this B'Day ish to create a demarcation between fan-service (this side ish) and main-line Beyonce project (Act III).

It is OBVIOUSLY a placeholder til Act III and filling the gap for what almost certainly was supposed to be the new album.

At the same time, if she makes it accessible in the way she does her conventional projects, it blurs the lines and allows fans + GP to take an either/or approach. Ultimately, the subconscious takeaway will then be: I can get Beyonce at a $30 price point regardless of what it is.

The reality now is that, all our moaning aside, she will absolutely swing by in a few months (hopefully) with Act III at a conventional price point in a way that won't make fans feel like they are overspending on her, given how few (see: only the ultra diehards) parted with coin for the insanely priced B'Day ish. All while maintaining her all-important "premium-ness" in the process.

Marketing psychology is deffo a thing, and the fact that the $150 sold out as quickly as it did leads me to believe it was probably only an ultra-limited sum in the first place.

FYI, I DO NOT endorse the wild pricing. But I legit think this may be more strategy than the very easy-to-go-to "capitalist" argument.

Little nitpicks aside, it feels so good seeing her celebrate her past work like this. Each album had its purpose and a reason for a person to stan her and they all deserve this kind of fanfare. I hope she does this for her other albumschick3I can totally see her pumping these things out when she retires after Act iii and the money is good cause she has dodo birds willing to pay 1k for a wooden box so it's a win-win!

all i'm getting from this is we're not getting a brand new album in the next 6 months lol. **** we're lucky if we get it next year at all cause she's doing a lot (for her standards) with this reissue and it's starting to feel like act iii is much further away than we thought

like this isn't giving cute placeholder to tide us over a couple months, it feels more like an attempt to tide us over a couple years

@Joaco95 I am looking forward to hearing your feedback jonny

to what? the remaster are GOOD

only things i really dislike:

irreplaceable is censored

the three bonus tracks we all were waiting on streaming were butchered

welcome to hollywood is a skip now

the booklet is a mess imo i was expecting more outtakes from the bday photoshoot but is full of still from the mv

i wish she would have throw the freemasons remix ep there (just like mariah adds the remixes to her anniversary editions)

and i hate that not everything is on the cd but anyways i would burn my own like the good old times

everything else is pretty good

So you hate everything?

Cause what exactly did you like?

Saying lost yo mind and creole Were butchered is a big fat lie

She is actually kinda dark sided keeping the years the song was released consistent in iTunes unprovoked redface

I can see her releasing act iii in span of the next 6-ish months. She may have used this release to test waters and get people excited again, as well as to undo the harm that She Knows era did. But who knows, maybe it really isn't coming anytime soon. Maybe we're getting a film since those placeholder spots appeared. Maybe it's CCT film?

loca shut up no one is talking to you, i liked everything minus the three bonus tracks, i can deal with everything else minus those ass productions

back to this:

i knew i was a total f*g when i started to enjoy these remixes when i was just 12 yo

happy bday beyonce keri hilson.gif

I really like the new Creole. It's an improvement.

Back Up is different, I like it about the same as the original

She sort of sounds like she's struggling on Lost You Mind - I prefer the OG

I am so happy with this re-release!!! it sounds SO good, and to have those previously "unreleased" songs on streaming feels AMAZING. I've already added them to playlists. AND the new songsss the Celia sample omg!

Always know: Bey likes them other girlies and boys explore a genre first only to completely wash them with her take on it fan so let them release "Rock" songs. Bey is gonna show them how to do that genre, im sure of it fan

even if she doesnt do other anniversary editions, i would hope that the 900 dollar pine box for "your beyonce vinyl" means she will eventually repress all of her albums.

This would assume that Beyoncé thinks of her unreleased tracks as "belonging" to an era when we know she has included THIQUE and YAYA on new albums despite being unreleased works from albums prior.

All the "new" tracks don't sound very B'Day at all and I think that just adds to the "special edition" of it all.

But I also agree that anniversary editions for her other albums are less likely. I think that's why she didn't do it for DIL, because then we would expect to see a pattern. Her doing it in random order as she pleases seems more likely, and probably with different anniversary numbers attached to them.

Her looping her growl in Cuerpo is so unserious, I love it. Thats the type of ish only Bey would do. Thats where her personality shines like no other.
