I was the biggest advocate for Bey doing the FIFA Halftime, but that was a mess.

It was like those corny multi-artist Super Bowl Halftimes from the 90s. Mozarella-fest. (MJ's is GOAT'ed, but there were a ton of wack ones that followed before the 00s/10 girls upped the ante).

I 200% believe she was in talks and would love to hear what happened. IIRC, the pushback from FIFA was around Bey allegedly wanting to do just Act III, the drama of which makes total sense given what transpired (Madonna singing mostly old music, BTS doing Dynamite, not even anything from their new album, and Shakira doing her World Cup single). FIFA, who I'm sure were as out of touch as pre-Roc Nation NFL brass with their Halftimes, clearly wanted a certain thing and all-new Bey music probably wouldn't fit.

I hope she keeps this hair for a hot minute

Thinking about how we all raised hell because the CMAs removed the Daddy Lessons live performance from the internet, but it was revealed that Beyonce's team told them to take it down. Even the The Dixie Chicks were unaware of who the real culprit was.
