🍑 🌀 🍯 and 🎸 🪽 🐂 are really just amazing stretches of music. I can start there and just lose focus of everything for 20-30 minutes

Buuuut I think Cuff It, Energy and Break My Soul have the best transitions into one another where it is impossible to start 2 or 3 without the lead-in

she was selfsabotaging just as much (if not more cough cough tidal exclusives) during ST/Lemonade but at least the eras were extremely fun to live through and filled to the brim with content

now we get the selfsabotage and no content to keep us entertained. that's without counting the nonstop hate trains and lack of anything fun to track streaming or charts wise. and the few things we do get we can't even rewatch

The one thing that I do find satisfying about this trilogy is that the motif of "Reclaiming" is so prevalent in not just the genres she is exploring, but also her as an artist and her career. Renaissance was the perfect "She's back"!!! We got a fun album, a #1 song, a more carefree Bey with a tour filled with colorful fun costumes and an extravagant set. CC feels like a revenge story with her finally getting AOTY and with a country album no less. In that way I am happy as a long time fan.

The ITG - Cozy - AS segment is still the best imo.

And contrary to popular belief, the first part of CC is actually my fav, add in Ya Ya and it's the basically the first act of the CCT. Again, my fav section of the tour involving CC.

So what do we think is the main reason she delayed Act III, girls? Is she:

1. Re-recording all The-Dream songs to completely remove him from the album?

2. Letting Jay have his moment (aka another controversy)?

3. Being lazy?

4. Putting more crumbs in the album boxes?

5. Pressing vinyls with several songs missing?

Can she reclaim "longevity" next? She used to be on the forefront of stability, longevity, etc.; now she can barely chart a year with her albums and 2-3 months with her songs before they perform worse than Katy Perry.

listen i will whine about the way she abandons her songs all day, but i draw the line at comparing her to Fadty Abdul. LUKE'S WORLD couldnt even outchart Flamenco, so i can't entertain the comparison even as an obvious joke (the real joke, of course, being Ms. Perrished post-PRISM)
