The trilogy is indeed legendary because BEYONCE is legendary, who produces legendary work, at this stage in her career.

I'm with you for the most part, but this isn't idol worship.

We are being left in a state of flux, with not a whole lot to ruminate on in between projects. It's only natural for fans to speculate, worry, vent, etc.

The good thing is that with act iii, it will officially be a wrap.

Anytime someone brings up steams as a line of defense, I automatically stop listening lol.

I do understand the frustrations around her being so tight lipped about everything, lack of promo/news, and overall just being in the dark about the next project.

The thing is…she's literally been doing this for years now. It's not surprising. Doesn't negate how anyone feels, but it's also like….all of these theories etc were done at the hands of US…the fans. Not her.

I think that's my only problem. Folks in here get frustrated and upset and start spiraling. There's a difference between criticism and throwing a temper tantrum because you didn't get your way. Most of ya'll in here fit the latter.

The trilogy is an amazing body of work no doubt about it. And it definitely mattered to the people paying attention. Hive, music critics, music lovers in general. But it didn't translate to the general public and that's a shame. Not strictly because of streams but the enormity of the undertaking and the quality of the work. Like, these are monumental records that are recontextualizing and "reclaiming" (although I know she hates that word) decades of music in multiple genres. But people are stupid and need things explained to them, either via interviews and the promo trail or via a film with iconic visuals (think Formation and Lemonade) that makes things more digestible. But she did none of that and the albums sort of came and went instead of being the crowning achievement of her career as I imagine she envisioned. And it's truly a shame because aside from being almost ten years in the making by the time it's all said and done, it's a project of monumental scope and ambition that truly houses some of her best work ever. Vocally, production wise, songwriting wise. And people keep streaming Single Ladies and Halo because she didn't give them a chance to latch onto the new stuff. Like, Cuff It became a hit almost in spite of her.

Anyway. It's just frustrating.

I think its what she wants. She wants to go down the prince and sade route. Her material will have the depth if you choose to dig into it

The thing is it would take simply an interview, or a behind the scenes video like she for self titled to get the point across of the trilogy and meaning behind the acts. Theres no excuse!

Except you are wrong because she does guve us her thoughts, we got write ups for both projects. She did magazine interviews before them too and explicitly said that 25+ years in she just wants her music to do the talking.

As much as I love to complain about her strategy in here, how is that her fault? Besides, excerpts from non-video interviews go viral and cause discussion all the time (just this week Nicki MAGAj is getting whacked across the internet and The View for her braindead grift justifications in a piece that just came out in TIME Magazine).

That being said, she could stand to do more of them if we're going to have to keep waiting for things like the visuals and potential tour films.

That's the thing. The main moment for that was at the beginning with Rennie.

Because the (alleged) mess started after that (reshoots, visuals allegedly not being snapped up by streamers, changed plans etc), it's literally in her best interest to keep it vague about...everything.

It's grating for us, but the less she says the more she can preserve the premium of the trilogy and control the narrative (even if and when things go awry behind the scenes).

That said, I think there is still a clean opportunity for her to tie everything together retroactively with act iii. From the visual, boxset opportunities, etc.

"Legendary" is very easy to define - what lives on when she dies. And we all know which songs and albums will get the biggest boosts - CIL, SL, Halo, etc..

Even Lemonade would get a bigger surge now, an era that truly FELT legendary because of everything around it - SB performance, the visuals, the many different iconic performances of the entire album, the discourse, etc.

Be for real: Renaissance + CC do not compare in terms of that, which is a pity cause they had it all.

Its the way they were neglected post album release and that is all on Team Bey.

For both of these records not being able to sustain interest (800k daily streams in 2026 is just poor, lbr) is just a statement in and of itself. Both had #1 songs, both had virality, so there really is no excuse.

The trilogy will remain iconic to US, but the GP just quite frankly wont consider it legendary like that. They dont compare to ST or Lemonadr

Beyoncé is not Brockhampton. For someone who crafts each album with dissertation-level detail and research, dropping 3 LPs in a calendar year would be doing each one a major disservice

Bey acts like an indie artist when she is a mainstream international superstar. Also yes Music videos does matter especially when it comes to this trilogy. The difference between Bey and some of these streaming giants is that Bey actually has real cultural impact and doesn't need the multiple number 1s and Big streams to remain who she is. I think Bey is complacent with how she does things because she knows how powerful she really is. If Bey first week sales would end up 90-100 K first week she would drop the minimal promo and be more Traditional. Bey being 44 years old would be the perfect time for her to go all out with the promo and go out with a bang since I don't see her releasing another album in 2 years after act 3. Also I wonder if she plans on releasing all acts in a box set after the trilogy ends.
